They fit nicely in my shoes - not bulky - and do provide low level heat for 3-4hours. Since my cycling shoes are perforated I have found that toe covers on the outside of the shoe or a thin cloth/paper towel inside the shoe on top of the warmers is necessary to keep the warmth in. Really make a noticeable difference in my overall enjoyment of cold-weather cycling.

I wear them every single time I go skiing (which is about 50 days a year). My feet get sooo cold, and I've tried all kinds of other things to make my ski boots more bearable, and these things are amazing. I stick them to the tops of my toes, not the bottoms, and they slide right into my boots without getting hung up on anything. My husband wears them often, too, so we'll buy 100 or so at a time from Sierra Trading Post to last us through the winter.

I like that I don't have to shake them to activate so they stay nice and flat in my boots. I find the adhesive works pretty well to stick to my socks. And they really do last along time.
