These are the perfect travelling pants. I wore them during a trip to South Africa and now I will wear them to the Galapagos. Quick drying and lightweight - didn't get hot in these. Since I am 5'2", I need to shorten them or just roll them up. Love the fact that there are no snaps or zippers - pull u... Read More

These are nice quality pants but the tummy area looked kind of poochy and there wasn't much wiggle room in the leg. Style is basic and functional. Would be a good trekking pant for somebody who has a bit more in the waist and a bit less in the thigh. I normally wear a 10 in pants and ordered the 31 inch waist.

I have loved Gramicci for years for the fit. But these nylon pants are light weight feel more like a blend and have the comfort I love in quick dry. My favorite pants for gardening in the summer. True to fit, well made, with abuse hold up, and easy wash and wear. Fits my lifestyle. Glad to get one more pair as I don't find them often. Will keep looking for them.

I can't wait to take these pants out for their first hike. Although they are snug when I pull them on and off past my abdominal area (a nagging issue for all post-menopausal women), once they're on they feel super comfortable, are generous in the butt and leg areas for bending and stooping, and the quality of fabric is sumptuous. They feel so soft yet the cotton is highly durable and will allow me to wear these pants for years to come. Hopefully, all those future day hikes on my calendar will keep the tummy area slim and trim and I'll be slipping these pants on for trail outings on a regular basis.

I have a tree green pair of these pants from about 15 years ago which look just like new despite years of use. I wanted another pair....I wish I could have gotten them in another color but the pants are great. Fit is to size.

  • “does the fabric move or is it stiff?”
Asked by Anonymous from Unknown on 8/6/2011 12:00:00 AM
    • They move.
Answered on 8/11/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • These pants are made out of nylon which move pretty well.

    • It moves and the fabric is soft.

    • It seems soft to me and very comfortable.

    • typical nylon pants...not stiff, but not flimsy...good quality and will wear well/pack well.

    • I don't think the fabric is very stiff; I can squat, get up and down off the floor easily wearing the pants. THey do make a little noise when you walk.

  • “I wear a size 6 in most pants...but sometimes need a 4. Which would be a better bet for me to try? A 2/4? or 6/8? Thanks! Margaret”
Asked by Anonymous from Unknown on 5/8/2011 12:00:00 AM
    • I'm similar in sizing, between 4 and 6. I order a small. (I'm 5'7" and a 30" inseam so get the regular.) The extra small would fit around my rear end, but the waist is too small to get over my hips comfortably. Expect these pants to be loose and baggy. If you want a very 'attractive' wear anywhere pant get another style. I have a small waist but 38" hips, narrow across, mostly in the butt, and large muscular legs. I love these pants and have owned many pairs, but they are not 'attractive.' They are great for hiking, climbing(as designed for) gardening, with big pockets that can hold clippers.

  • “About 2 years ago I bought this brand of pants that had 3% lycra. Are these still made?”
Asked by Barb from Brevard, NC on 3/14/2011 12:00:00 AM
    • We do not have any that are 3% lycra, they are all nylon or cotton.

    • There are two front pockets. In the XL size, my hands go all the way in up to my wrist. I would say they are deep pockets. There is also a (surprisingly) deep hip pocket in the back that closes with velcro. for more of your stuff!
