Nice Jacket, Oddly SizedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jamin from SD on Sunday, April 29, 2018I am 5'10" and about 150 lbs. I ordered a small. It fits perfectly everywhere except the waist. The bottom of the jacket is very small and tight around my waist/hips. There are no draw cords or any adjustment to the bottom of the jacket. Otherwise, it is warm for how thin it is, very light and packs down small. It blocks wind very well and if it were not for the odd sizing, I would rate it 5 stars. I have had it for a couple months now and wore it almost daily through the winter and it seems to be wearing fairly well.
For the price a great valueReviewed by Harry from Olympia, WA on Monday, February 26, 2018First off, this jacket only weighs a little over 8 ounces, so if you are looking for a jacket for winter wear, this is not it. The insulation (Primloft) is minimal, but considering its weight the jacket offers good warmth to weight ratio. The inside zipper becomes the stuff pocket for storage. The only downside is the jacket is made of a crinkly noisy material, but I knew that from previous reviews before my purchase. Not a jacket for walking around town in, but more for using on a hike or backpack trip. The outside hand pockets are huge. Sizing seemed to be right. I normally wear a "Large" and this one in "Large" fit me perfectly..
Great packable jacket.Verified Buyer Reviewed by RB from Minnesota on Sunday, February 25, 2018Small, compact, perfect for layering.
Looks great AND practicalVerified Buyer Reviewed by hikergma from Colorado on Sunday, February 18, 2018Easy-care, nice gray color. It looks good. I was a little disappointed with the "crinkliness" of the fabric and the jacket is a little snug around the middle. Probably not a problem for a lot of people, but something a buyer should know before making the final decision.
excellent quailtyVerified Buyer Reviewed by lpc from az on Sunday, February 18, 2018light weight; but provides excellent warmth
true to sizeReviewed by on99 from nyc on Friday, February 16, 2018The fabric is extremely noisy, sounding like those thin plastic bag u get from supermarket cashier.
not too bad as a backup mid layer, u have to find yourself a bungee or a small pouch to wrap it nice and small in order to put it in your backpack, 3 stars for what i spent.
Zippers?Reviewed by JonH from VA on Friday, February 2, 2018This is the 3rd jacket I've received with "left hand" zippers on men's clothing (Craghopppers, too). Personally, is not a huge deal to me, but obviously it is to others, and should be noted on the product description.
Fits well and keeps me warm when I'm moving
Very DisappointedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Todd Chambers from Ohio on Friday, January 26, 2018I can't really rate something I never received. I had returned a previous jacket because it was not a "men's", but a woman's. The email I got said I had returned the previous one because I did not like it, (which was not the reason I gave). Imagine my surprise after being charged again, and waiting a week to get the replacement; it was also a women's jacket.
I really do not believe anyone from your company will even read this, let alone reply.
I will not be returning this one; I will find a friend in need of a jacket and give it to them. Needles to say, I will no longer be purchasing clothing from Sierra Trading Post.
Full Crackle JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Wood Chuck from Chicago on Thursday, January 18, 2018Great jacket for light weight use. Not a lot of thermal value but more than a wind breaker. I bought to wear as a mid layer under a shell. The jacket kind of crackles when you move like wearing bubble wrap so don’t wear it if you’re trying to sneak up on something.
