Classic Relaxing Gramicci Fit + Zip Fly

I've pretty much lived in Gramicci pants, of various types & fabrics, the past 20 years. The past several years, though, replacement pairs that I've bought have featured "modern" low-rise waistlines. This style was important, I was told, so that all my friends & coworkers could see what color boxers I chose for the day. But it made the pants wretchedly uncomfortable. And let's face it - comfort is the reason to wear Gramicci's.
I'm very happy to report these Rockin' Sport Pants are back to the classic loose/blousy Gramicci fit through the hips, seat & thighs. The legs don't taper to the bottom as my oldest old-school Gramicci's did, but you can't have everything. I wear size L Gramicci's, even though I fit 34-waist dress slacks. Up-sizing like this denim jeans doesn't work - they become less comfortable rather than more so. But the elastic waistband and cinch-belt makes it work comfortably with Gramicci's.
I'm sure Tim Gunn would have a seizure at the sight of me in my Gramicci's. But I don't care - I'd probably have a seizure if I had to spend 20 minutes in a room with Tim Gunn. They're good sturdy comfortable pants.
The zip-fly design makes them more practical as just everyday casual pants. They're great for travel - there's nothing more comfortable for a 6 hour flight. I still prefer the lightweight synthetic-fibre Gramicci's for hiking/backpacking/etc. But the cotton is great for everyday. If they'd add a hidden on-seam zip pocket mid-thigh, it would make them perfect travel pants.
