Nicely designed pack cuts weight, with some tradeoffs

I tested this pack on a 12 day hike in Patagonia. It is light and carries quite well, with good ergonomics overall and a thoughtful waterproof rolling pocket on top. Gregory has succeeded in shedding weight wherever possible, and this means that some of the external pockets (water/fuel bottles and hip belt) are not as generously sized as on there regular line of packs. Also, the fastex buckles are small, which makes them fiddly under cold conditions wearing lightweight gloves. Lastly, the waist belt and shoulder straps accommodate a smaller range of sizes. At 6'2", 42 chest and 36 inch waist, I found the waist belt padded sections did not reach enough over my hips, nor did the shoulder straps accommodate my frame sufficiently. So I would recommend this pack as a good choice, but for those who are smaller than these proportions.
