I bought the Gregory Diva from Sierra Trading Post last year around this time, so it was not the exact model shown. It made 2 major trips with me last August, for a total of 32 trail miles, and I have not one complaint. In fact, although my boyfriend also has a Gregory, he was envious of all the a... Read More

The pack is a nice fit and provides some lower back support. This is especially nice for us women with a spacious backside. There are lots of pockets to store and separate items while plenty of larges spaces for tent, stove, sleeping bag and bed.

This is a classic backpack, when you have to take over 40pounds,and have a long trip, this backpack will help you a lot ,more comfortable and more gear.It is so great. I am a thin man,the belt is not soft for me,only this is a pity. But it doesn't matter ,just to wear more clothes.

I purchased this pack for long weekend camping trips. It is a little bit heavier than packs of similar size by other brands, but the extra comfort justified the weight for me. I have not tested it in the field, so no comments yet about long-term comfort and durability. The pack is well-designed with user convenience at a premium. Lots of external pockets to keep gear organized. Compression straps from every angle secure the contents tightly against any jostling or shifting. Padding is plentiful and pre-shaped for an excellent female fit. The hinged design for both the hip belt and the arm straps allows for a lot of adjustment. Both the belt and straps are also interchangeable if necessary. I have a "medium" torso length (be sure to measure multiple times to be certain), but I needed the "small" belt and straps. Also, at a superficial level, the bodega blue color is vibrant and stylish.

  • “Will this pack hold a bear canister inside?”
Asked by Lisa from Tahoe on 5/30/2015 11:17:07 AM
    • I'm not sure if I'm fully understanding your question, but yes depending on the size of the canister it could.

  • “If my torso measures 18" - would you suggest sizing up or down?”
Asked by RJ from Jackson Hole on 4/9/2015 10:34:39 AM
    • Either one should fit you fine. I would suggest deciding this based on how large of a bag you are wanting. S = 3661 CU IN M = 3844 CU IN

  • “How do I measure my torso? What "landmarks" should I use for the measurements? Thanks in advance.”
Asked by AV from Washington on 8/29/2013 3:15:57 PM
    • Using a tailor's tape or other flexible tape, record these two measurements before shopping for a pack. If you don't have a flexible tape, you can use a piece of yarn or cord instead, then lay the marked length of yarn on a tape measure to determine the length. Note: It really helps to have someone assist you with these measures.
•Torso: This is the length from the prominent bump at the base of your neck - the C7 vertebra - to the center point on your spine between the tops of your hip bones. Find the top of your hip bones by running your hands down your sides until you first meet your hips at the iliac crest, then envision an imaginary line between your thumbs at the top of your hips along your back.

  • “Hi, is this the model with the mesh back support or slightly newer model? Cause in the rosewood red bag pictures it's not the mesh backing but in the picture of the green pack it has the mesh backing. It is also stated in the description. A little confused as to what i will actually receive.”
Asked by Ollie from Singapore on 8/28/2013 12:54:58 AM
    • I purchased the rosewood red in size medium and it has the exact same backing as the new 2013 bag. It is NOT mesh, it is the very thick foam backing. SOOO comfy

About Gregory

After designing his first backpack as a Boy Scout at the age of 14, Wayne Gregory dedicated his career to making outstanding gear, a mission that eventually led him to create Gregory Mountain Products in 1977. From the beginning, Gregory backpacks have been engineered using a combination of field research and customer feedback in order to enhance durability, fit and function. The brand has pioneered many industry firsts, such as multiple pack sizes with different frame, harness and waist belt dimensions. They also developed the first waist belt system that offered a variety of hip angles. Not surprisingly, Gregory backpacks have been praised in a wide range of publications, from Backpacker magazine to National Geographic Adventure.
