I picked this up for 11 year old son after he borrowed his mother's and loved the fit. I know it's a women's pack but how much closer to female can you get than an 11 year old? Besides the color is perfect for a young hunter. All kidding aside it fits him very well and it will serve him until he matures and grows into a "men's" size pack. At the close out price you can't go wrong.

Very ideal for long hiking trips. plenty of space for all of your gear and straps to attach equipment on the outside. Four star rating because a sturdier frame is preferred, but I couldn't pass up such a great sale price on a clearly quality backpack.

Pack carries ok, but the side pockets hold very little. They're just not built big enough so you can't zip them up w/ much inside them at all. The little net outside pockets down below are also fairly useless, small and tilted to the front. This is the first internal frame back pack I've ever bought. I do prefer the external backpacks and am used to carrying a lot in the side pockets. I'm 5'7", 132 lbs. I stuffed my sleeping bag into the lower inside area and attached my tent and pads below on the outside. So it's a little awkward to stuff your sleeping bag in, if you did that every day, instead of into a stuff sack, since you have to lay the pack flat. It's not the most comfortable back pack but not the worst I've worn, either. I am worried about breaking the plastic clips but have only packed with it 2 trips of 3 nights each.

About Gregory

After designing his first backpack as a Boy Scout at the age of 14, Wayne Gregory dedicated his career to making outstanding gear, a mission that eventually led him to create Gregory Mountain Products in 1977. From the beginning, Gregory backpacks have been engineered using a combination of field research and customer feedback in order to enhance durability, fit and function. The brand has pioneered many industry firsts, such as multiple pack sizes with different frame, harness and waist belt dimensions. They also developed the first waist belt system that offered a variety of hip angles. Not surprisingly, Gregory backpacks have been praised in a wide range of publications, from Backpacker magazine to National Geographic Adventure.
