Good packVerified Buyer Reviewed by first time backpacker from Utah on Thursday, June 14, 2018I used this on a 24 mile back packing trip. It has some very nice features, including the front zipper, day pack, and drawstring system. It distributed weight nicely.
Cute bag but I received a dudVerified Buyer Reviewed by calculush1 from Los Angeles on Saturday, February 24, 2018I like the color and size but I received a defective bag. I bought this bag intending to use it for a week long trip to Cambodia. The load stabilizer straps behind your shoulders were incredibly low. I own two other Gregory packs, one in small and the other in x-small and the stabilizers fit me and are in the right place on those bags, but not this one. I think Gregory made a mistake with the Jade's load stabilizer placement.
Think it will workVerified Buyer Reviewed by cAb from Colorado on Sunday, January 21, 2018I've been looking for a pack that won't kill my neck and shoulders, and big enough for 1-2 nights out. I'm thin and bony and packs always rub me the wrong way. I suspect I'll need to put extra padding on the shoulder straps of this one. The removable daypack seems a little cheesy, and awkward as the hydration pocket, but seems to work. I don't have the most top-of-the-line gear, so my sleeping bag and tent aren't the most compact, but I can cram everything I need in for camping, barely. Mostly I think I'll use it for overnight trips to back-country huts, cabins, yurts, so won't have to carry a tent. Without that there's plenty of room, and the weight seems comfortable enough. And if I reeeeeally want to pack/camp, maybe I can convince my partner to carry the tent... At the price I paid, I think it will work well enough for my needs.

“the other sizes of this same backpack have three colors. does this also have the option of those?”
Currently we only have item 223RM in color Tropic Teal (01).
“I thought jade 53 only with two colors, black and purple. Is there any difference of this tropic teal pack compared to the black/purple pack?”
We do not have a black and purple to compare it directly to, but in general when Gregory creates a bag in multiple colors it is only a color difference, everything else is the same.
