Verified Buyer Reviewed by Bubba from Alabama on Monday, October 10, 2016Nice pack, fits me well. I am 5'8" and the medium fits well. The material is tough, the zippers are heavy duty.
Reviewed by Jtkayak from PA on Sunday, August 14, 2016Load transfers well to hips. Fits me(5'10 210#) with 19" spine although need size large shoulder straps(emailed Gregory for straps/harness) . Pack and included medium straps fit my 5'7 125# daughter perfectly. She had plenty of room for multiday backpacking
Verified Buyer Reviewed by KittyMom from Chesapeake Beach, MD on Tuesday, May 24, 2016The pack was too well padded to the point of being bulky. Also, the padding was too stiff to be comfortable. The hip belt pockets were tiny. The mesh side pockets were just plain strange. One was like a regular vertical mesh pocket big enough to hold a liter water bottle. The other pocket was horizontal with the opening facing the wearer. There was no way to keep things from sliding out. The front access panel for the main compartment was located inside the beaver tail. This meant removing everything from the front pocket just to reach the zipper. Mind as well just dig everything out from the top of the pack. There's not much in the way of pockets for organizing. This is mostly one big compartment. Unless you're going out for a month long excursion, the week/weekend backpacker with bulky gear might find the Gregory Amber 70 Backpack - Internal Frame (For Women) to be a more comfortable fit.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Adrienne from Grand Rapids, MI on Sunday, May 31, 2015I've not used this yet, but the initial assessment is grand. This is sturdy yet light, comfy and large. I'm excited to take it on a multiday trip in August.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by yogi from High SIerra on Wednesday, March 11, 2015For the record, Gregory does not MAKE a women's version of the Palisade pack. Since I'm a man and knew this going in, I got a perfect item. The Palisade is a great backpack and will last many years.
I have no idea why STP has it listed as a women's pack but a staff member at Gregory assured me that a women's Palisade did not exist before I bought this, so there's no doubt about it. If you're a woman looking for a pack, The Petit Drew is the Gregory Women's alternative to this fine pack. Men, enjoy this one!

This is NOT a "women's" pack. Gregory does not make the Palisade in a women's fit. Go to their website and check. You'll find they make the "Diva" for women. Palisade does not exist in the Women's choices. That being said, I'm 5'11". 165 lb. so any women of a similar size and build would be fine in this pack.
