Surprisingly very good so far...Verified Buyer Reviewed by masterorc from Ohio on Thursday, January 11, 2018These Boots are quite interesting. Very heavy duty, yet lightweight. When wearing them in snowy and very cold conditions and I've had no issues of them getting cold. Very good traction and very waterproof walking creek beds and streams. For the price you could never go wrong. I would recommend them for backpacking boots.
One [...] in the armorVerified Buyer Reviewed by thekrautdog from WNY on Friday, November 17, 2017Darn it I really wanted to love these, and I mostly did. They are fantastic looking boots, extremely well-made, not super-light but not heavy either, very comfortable from the get-go and the midsole got even more spongy after just a little bit of wear. Nice roomy toe box also. The only issue for me was each time I put them on it did not take long for my feet to start sweating. And I was wearing light to medium weight merino socks which if anything would have helped combat this. This tells me the gritex liner (tho it may be waterproof which I did not test) does not breathe well. And so this really eliminated 2 use scenarios for me...couldn't wear in warm weather obviously, and not good in cool/cold weather either if feet sweat and get moist they will then get cold, which is what I noticed on my first venture outdoors after I originally decided to keep them. In the end I gave them to my nephew who takes the same size and loves them, says he has never had an issue with foot sweat in the past and doesn't overanalyze everything like yours truly. At the clearance price it was still a win.
Terrific boots!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Steverino from Philadelphia on Sunday, November 12, 2017I've been wearing these daily for two weeks. I use them for work boots since I'm on my feet all day and can log 20 miles in a 12 hour day. They seem to be very well made, as would be expected - they're made in Italy. The mid sole is not very cushy. That's why this is a middle weight boot. The footbed provides a lot of support and is stiff enough not to feel sharp pointed rocks and other things. This should eliminate foot fatigue on a rugged trail. On the farm, my feet feel as good at the end of the day as they day at the beginning (can't say the same for my legs however). I haven't been in conditions to really test the waterproofness of the boots,
Good boots but they leakReviewed by Farmer Ray from North Carolina on Monday, November 6, 2017Well made, good materials, good fit, solid boot. But far from waterproof - my feet were soaked walking in wet grass.
Pretty Good Overall, But No Half SizesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Edan from Reno on Thursday, November 2, 2017I like these boots, they feel good and they look good. I haven't had a chance to wear them outdoors yet because I am still debating on whether or not they fit adequately. I usually wear about an 8.5 so I purchased the 42, but these seem to be a little loose all around. I do have narrow feet and slim ankles, so that might account for some of it. I am going to go with a slightly thicker sock, so that should solve the issues. I would have preferred a 41.5 for this probably though. Anyway, seems like a good bang for the buck.
Comfortable right out of boxVerified Buyer Reviewed by Stew from Marin on Monday, October 23, 2017I've only worn these a day, but so far, so good. They are roomy enough in the toe box for my square toes, and the footbed is well-made -- no need to purchase after-market liner, as I often do. Waterproof-ness seems good also. I'd never heard of the brand, but this seems like good value.
Rock ManVerified Buyer Reviewed by Rock Man from Ohio / NC on Monday, October 23, 2017Great boots, very comfort would recommend.
