Nice Shoe, but a little mis-sized.

I'm pretty consistently a 10 1/2 D. So that makes mine about a 44 Euro-sized foot. Normally, I don't have problems with the length, but I find European sized shoes are quite narrow. With these Italian hiking boots I'm faced with the opposite problem. The width is fine, but the length seems to be a 1/2 size too long. So I measured them alongside my fine fitting North Face hikers, size 10 1/2 (44 1/2). Sure enough, these 44s are longer by a smidgeon. Will size 43 fit? We'll see. They're well made and comfortable for around-the-house walking. But, as you know, it's not a good idea to have poorly fitting hiking boots (or. hiking shoes) for those more rugged hikes where your toes are slamming into the end of the toe box on steep downhills.
