5.0 out of 5 stars. A bit heavy for backpackingVerified Buyer Reviewed by amber720 from Colorado on Sunday, September 13, 2015I wouldn't take the whole set backpacking, but it depends on your style. Perfect for picnics, camping, even dining on the patio. I keep the silverware in my car at all times for eating on the go. The holes in each piece allows you to hang them up to dry or to attach them to a pack. Nice little set!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Car Camping Mess KitVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jetdoctor from Seattle on Friday, September 4, 2015This is a nice sized set for eating on car camping trips. The main plate/tray is sized for sitting on your lap while eating around a camp fire etc. The plastic is easy to clean, and the kit comes in a nice mesh bag. I bought four of these, and they take up less space than disposable table ware for a week trip. There is also less waste to deal with. I also bought some Camp Suds and a foldable water basin to go along with the kits.

3.0 out of 5 stars. thoughtful design but...Verified Buyer Reviewed by rafter/angler from southern rockies on Tuesday, July 14, 2015I bought these as an experiment to see if eating from a plate on one's lap was easier. perhaps a bit, but the extra crevasses where the bowl sits makes for more complicated cleaning. also don't stack as efficiently as normal plates. bottom line. i will not be buying more.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Sturdy camping table setVerified Buyer Reviewed by Life at 9000’ from Nederland, CO on Tuesday, June 30, 2015These do not pack down small. However, for car camping or when packing in a few things isn't an issue they are great. Even the utensils are well made and study.
