Thank you Haglofs!!
Reviewed by Josh from NCW on Thursday, November 7, 2013The sizing of this product is not inline with the technical specs outlines here. The product seems great and durable but I have some impressions about the fit and style. First of all, I got these pants to use for all around winter uses like hiking, snowshoeing, sledding/tubing, and shoveling. The seat and waist of this shell is very tight. I got the Large as the tech specs make it sound like a 36 to 38. All of my other pants I wear a 36 to 38, I am 5'11" and an athletic 220 lb. I could not get these pants even up to my waist they were so tight. Forget trying to use a base layer. A second impression was that the legs are really baggy at the knee and down to the cuff. This can be an advantage sometimes but not for my intended use. I would have got an XL if it were not for these baggy legs that I feel would get snagged on my crampons, snow shoes, etc. The craftsmanship seems top notch and they are typical Goretex quality, I was just not impressed with Haglofs sizing. I am thinking of the Haglofs Couloir but unsure at this point. The color, the fact they had suspenders built in (and removable), and the materials used really had me excited about this product, until I found the sizing and excess material issues listed above.
Reviewed by Josh from North Central Washington on Tuesday, October 29, 2013I was really excited to get these pants for the upcoming winter as they looked like they would be a great snowshoeing/winter hiking type of pant that is waterproof and basically windproof yet still breathable. The materials and workmanship is top notch! The sizing is way off. I wear a Large (36-38)x32 in almost every pant I own. I could not buckle these. The legs were also extremely baggy and I fear they would catch on crampons, the snow shoes, and branches. If these had a slightly more generouse waist and seat and not as baggy legs I would be giving this product five stars. Get your sizing together Haglofs.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jacek from Naperville Il. on Tuesday, November 27, 2012for me it would be better with long zipper on lower leg and vents up high. No need for knee part of the zipper. In cold weather it makes bending the knee a bit "stiff" ...
Verified Buyer Reviewed by DR.B from Boise, Idaho on Saturday, November 3, 2012I have been searching for months for the perfect shell pant with the skier in mind that fits athletically. Finally ski pants with out the long rise and not baggy all over! A ski pant made for a skier.
