Definitely a keeper
Reviewed by cubittus from Illinois on Monday, March 2, 2015Rugged construction, simple design, excellent craftsmanship. Smaller that it looks in pictures so... a summit pack at best. Good fit.
Definitely a keeper
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Legend from Los Angeles,CA. on Monday, December 1, 2014The pack is made really well and looks good, however, I returned it as it wasn't large enough for me.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by AA from San Francisco on Monday, June 9, 2014I have not used the pack on a hike yet, but it seems really durable. I wish there was a pocket outside of the pack where I can put my water canister. Other than that, this is a quality pack!
Reviewed by Jun from NJ on Saturday, January 4, 2014Uncomfortable for use.
Reviewed by Nello from The moon :) on Wednesday, October 2, 2013I like this pack for a number of reasons, but a few negatives force me to give it 4/5, instead of the assumed 5/5.
Pros: Great space, looks good, feels solid, nice attention to detail, minimalist, decent durability. This pack feels great on my back and allows total free flow of my arms and head when I look up. My arms don't touch at all when I swing them back, and it hugs me when I run, walk, climb/move around, and ride my bike. Looks neat. PAck is completely adjustable with its cords/buckles. Top cover is really nice and adjustable/interesting design with good top zip pocket - has an awkward little pocket on backside of top cover too. Seems weather proof, snow proof, throw proof, and Roc proof!
Cons: almost TOO minimalist... Not even a cinch down water bottle pocket inside or out, I was used to that and would appreciate it on this bag. I would like a top side interior compartment for small miscellaneous items (but I shove them into the top hatch). For the bottom of my pack I wish there was a little more armor (maybe rubber..?) I am eager to see how the stitches/fabric hold up on shoulder straps over use... I'm not saying they're weak, but they could have some added 'umph'.
All in all: Great pack and intends to live up to its name. Well designed, but know what you're getting into - it doesn't provide bells and whistles or tries to show off as a fashion statement. It's a hardcore pack that was built for an outdoorsman who knows what he/she needs. Haglofs makes a good product, I would recommend!
Last thoughts: After spending time in the military, I was used to serious hardcore packs, vests, gear etc. I was interested to see what other reviews were raving about. Remember this: this pack is not military grade, but [...] good in comparison to others in its class.
