Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by BMW from Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, March 29, 20145 Stars as a breathable waterproof super lite weight packable raincoat with an excellent rain brim that is so thin it could be used in summer. But given the ultra thin material and no interior powder belt I wouldn't have put this jacket into the "Winter Sports" section. I was looking for a lite weight spring ski jacket not a mountain hiking packable rain coat so I returned it as it was what I thought it would be. Still, it's worth 5 stars if your a thin tall individual looking for a packable super thin lite weight rain jacket. If your short and stocky looking for something to use in snowboarding, cross country, alpine spring skiing or snowmobiling I wouldn't recommend this jacket. Regarding size: Haglofs run true to arm, chest and neck size but are trim/athlete cuts best suited for tall thin/trim waistline people. I normally wear an XL in a Columbia Brand or 2XL (which looks baggy on me) if I want lots of extra space for layering but in Haglofs my 44 inch waist mandates I must buy 2XLs which fit me like a Columbia XL with no baggy look. Yes arms are always to long for me in a 2XL but it's the price you pay when your just average height and arm length with an above average waistline when buying of the rack jackets. STP's exchange policy is fantastic so I'm switching this one for another Haglofs jacket that should be more oriented towards being worn in 25 to 35 degree winter days and anytime in the fall on mountain hikes.

Reviewed by Mike from North of Pittsburgh on Friday, December 20, 2013I would have kept this jacket, except that the net lining in the sleeves was a type of material that clung to the sleeves of what ever type of shirt I had on, making it difficult to put the jacket on. Also, my shirt sleeves would be bunched up.
Reviewed by Pits_Hurt from New Hampshire on Friday, November 22, 2013This looked like nice jacket on the website, and it was nice looking in hand. I'm 6' tall and 165 lbs, and I ordered the large knowing that I want the ability to add some fleece insulation when needed. I was disappointed to put the jacket on and find it way too tight in my pits. My old Mountain Equipment Coop jacket that I bought in 1999 had the perfect cut...not too loose but with plenty of room for a nice puffy fleece. I've absolutely worn that jacket out (Antarctica to top of Mt. Rainer), and I am now trying to find a replacement. Most of the jackets I've tried on lately have the same problem of being too tight in the shoulder/pit area. The extra-Iarges offer good shoulder room but are way too big in the stomach area. I know that "athletic cut" is the hot thing now, but up on the mountain it just doesn't work. I wanted it to work, but this Haglofs just doesn't. Maybe that's why it on sale? Anyone with any suggestions on a good tough waterproof shell that has room for layering?
Reviewed by Sam from ALberta on Wednesday, March 27, 2013I was looking for a light ski jacket as a final layer - it is perfect - keep easy motion even with a down jacket underneath.
