I love these shoes! They fit perfect, I was hesitant to order since the reviews said the shoe ran big and to order a size smaller.
I wear a five so could not order a size small. I took the chance anyway. They are great, I am sure they will last a long time the way they are made.

There is a very hard protrusion of the tongue in the toe area that dips down and presses on your toes. I had to send back.

Received the shoes yesterday and they look awesome. The materials, especially on the inside of the shoe, are great. However, I am contemplating if I should return them. I followed instructions and ordered a full size smaller. I read the reviews and most of them suggested that the shoe runs large. Now, after trying the shoes on, I agree with one of the reviewers saying that the length of the shoe is okay, but the toe box feels small. I think I should have ordered only 1/2 size smaller. Unfortunately, this size is no longer available. If I know for sure that the shoes will stretch a little, I might keep them.

These are great shoes! I wanted some European style sneakers (why are most sneakers so ugly these days?), and these caught my eye. While not as low-profile as I had hoped, they reminded me of a lot of the skateboarder styles I used to wear, AND I will be able to hike in them. I ordered a whole size down from mine, and they are still a little loose, as I have very narrow feet with obnoxious bunions. However, two pairs of socks help. Soon I’ll add an extra insole which will also help. I thought the high back of the shoe that covers the Achilles heel would bug me, but it’s actually quite comfortable. These look rad, feel good on my messed up feet, and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments. They’re definitely keepers.

  • “Could the euro sizes be listed please???”
Asked by Krsiten from Colorado on 12/16/2017 2:34:37 PM
    • I agree that the Eur size should be listed. There is no consistency. A USA 7 1/2 in these European made shoes is a 39 EUR. A 39 should be a size 8. These shoes ran big. Order a whole size smaller then your normal USA shoe size. I did not care for the quality of these shoes compared to other Hanwig. My other pair that are worn out were made in Germany

  • “Almost all of the reviewers for this shoe state that the sizing is incorrect, and they are much too large. Has this been resolved? If I wear a 8.5, what size should I order?”
Asked by Aquarian from CA on 10/7/2017 11:40:33 AM
    • I think if you order your men's size, they will fit correctly. I reordered in 2 sizes smaller than I normally wear and they were the right size. The strange thing is, someone had actually crossed out the correct size in sharpie and written in the WRONG (men's) size.

    • Yes, we have added a recommendation to the sizing and overview/specs. Runs large, order whole size smaller
