Generally, I like Auclair gloves, however many of them just don't hold up well. For as long as they last I really like them, but it's hit or miss. (I've used the Auclair Diamond Miner Mountain Working Gloves for years with mixed suceess.) These Hercules gloves are ok for working on the truck, but not good for handling wet or dry wood, they have no grip. I have used them for handling firewood and they offer good protection, except a seam is already splitting on the palm. I burn through gloves, so I know good ones when I've got them. I really wanted to like these alot out of the box, but now they've been tested and they are not holding up. Third use, seam splitting. If you use them for light use on the truck or around the yard they should work well for you and I think you'll like them. If you are doing tougher work, you can find better working gloves
