Nice sturdy comfortable shoes. I buy these for my brother who "challenges" with everyday stuff. These hold up for him and last a while. Hi-Tec sometimes runs a little small. My brother's shoe size is 9.5, but sometimes the Hi-Tec 10 fits better.

  • Hard to buy shoes online

The sizes are a gamble. Some say they run small, but in my experience they run almost a size big. I am wondering why they are so inconsistent. The extra laces are a nice touch. These shoes are heavy for what they are (supposedly light
hikers), not related to these shoes, but I am done buying shoes on internet. After several attempts to buy shoes from STP, the sizing and QC of closeout shoes is a gamble at best. Back to the shoes- ok for price-- with coupon I paid $30, but shipping added another $8. If you hit the lotto on size, a decent buy.

for the money these are great! plenty of swish room for big socks and really comfortable fit for me. i could have got by a half size smaller but not worth it to exchange.

the sole is not flexible at all, but other than that they do the job and excellent value for their cost.

About Hi-Tec

After retiring from the Dutch Air Force and moving to England in the mid-1970s, the enterprising Frank Van Wezel decided to create the world’s first pair of Hi-Tec shoes designed specifically for playing squash. The idea was a hit, and it wasn’t long before Frank’s company had grown to include a full selection of Hi-Tec boots, shoes and sandals. Today, after nearly four decades of footwear innovation, Hi-Tec hiking boots, tennis shoes and sneakers deliver the best mix of support, comfort and style for people who live for adventure.
