The price is good, they fit well, but the foot bed support and shank support simply isn't at the level of what is needed for a true hiking shoe. However, the price isn't at that level either. I have found Hi-Tec is a reliable, consistent brand for everyday shoe and these keep with that reputation.

Very comfortable, excellent value at $40. A tad small lengthwise for a 9 1/2 but width-wise, perfect.
