Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by kuehnl17 from Delaware on Saturday, September 16, 2017I've been wearing Hi-Tec boots for over 20 years as I've hiked and volksmarched around the world. They always fit my feet perfectly and I've never had any issues with workmanship. Even after miles and miles of hiking in all conditions these boots look good.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by MNLB from Southern CA on Wednesday, August 16, 2017These may be great shoes, but I first ordered my usual size and then ordered a half size up. Both pairs felt like my big toe was right up against the toe box. The shoes are cute and inexpensive, but not sure why they feel like they are constraining my toes. Definitely not what I want for a hiking shoe.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by MNLB from Southern CA on Thursday, August 3, 2017I normally wear a size 7 in regular shoes, 7.5 in athletic shoes. I ordered a 7.5 and it was too short. Have a Size 8 on order which hopefully will not be too big.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Joanie from Alaska on Thursday, August 3, 2017Wide shoe box, decent fit. Sturdy. Back of boot cuts into Achilles tendon slightly when hiking downhill but not badly. I will install gel insoles to replace standard insole to add cushioning2. Great boot for the price
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Christine from Longmont, CO on Tuesday, August 1, 2017These are good looking shoes and I was bummed that I had to return them. I actually bought two different brands of low hiking shoes in hopes of finding something good to wear for work (I work in a large warehouse club and average about 20 miles a week on a concrete floor). The reason I said it is hard to give a fair rating is because I have feet issues. I am 66 years old and have been a Good Feet insert wearer for almost 10 years. Their inserts alleviated my plantar fasciitis pain completely. Recently (probably from the aforementioned job) I have developed a problem with my metatarsal bone in my right foot. I have upgraded my inserts but this shoe caused me pain.
I had a pair of Hi Tec hiking boots years ago that lasted me quite a few years. So if you don't have serious feet issues, I would definitely give these a try.
