Unfortunately, I didn't get to give them a test run. I normally wear 7.5 or 8 and I ordered an 8. I could tell that my toes were going to be bumping into the end as they were just a little too short. Larger size not available or I would have reordered. Great tread on these which is really import... Read More

    • Yes they do. The come just above the ankle which I liked because some of the trails I walk are muddy.

  • “I am still hesitant about ordering these boots because of the many conflicting reviews about the sizes. For years I use to wear a 7-1/2 Narrow or Medium in both shoes & boots; however, since I have gotten a little bit older & a little bit heavier I still can wear a narrow or medium but I now need to wear a size 8. Do you have any insight into the true to size vs ordering a larger size? Thanks”

    • We use a variety of sizes of these boots for taking teens on adventure trips. So far, the sizes seem accurate.

    • I have worn a size 9 since my last pregnancy 12 years ago. (Used to wear 8.5) I saw reviews to order a half size larger so I did with hesitation. I'm always a 9. The 9.5 fit just like every 9 I've ever worn. No regrets. In summer I wear Hanes Cotton ankle socks, winter Columbia wool blend thick socks. Makes no difference. I just ordered my second pair of these half size larger with no regrets.

    • I normally wear a size 8, but like a wider footbed. I read the reviews saying go up a size in these boots, so I ordered a 9. For me, they fit great! I have a little room in the toe so my toes don't feel squished. I can put in my shoe-inserts and wear thick socks when it is super cold outside too. I hope this helps!

    • I too used to wear the 7.5 and now wear an 8. I ordered the 8 in this and it fits good.
I would call to place the order and tell the sales person your concerns. See if they will exchange or refund you if it is not satisfactory!

Asked by Nana Cathy from North Carolina on 1/14/2017 6:20:01 PM
    • Yes, they are mostly brown with grey/violet. I like the color and have gotten compliments!

About Hi-Tec

After retiring from the Dutch Air Force and moving to England in the mid-1970s, the enterprising Frank Van Wezel decided to create the world’s first pair of Hi-Tec shoes designed specifically for playing squash. The idea was a hit, and it wasn’t long before Frank’s company had grown to include a full selection of Hi-Tec boots, shoes and sandals. Today, after nearly four decades of footwear innovation, Hi-Tec hiking boots, tennis shoes and sneakers deliver the best mix of support, comfort and style for people who live for adventure.
