2nd review: post-hiking trip

I posted an initial review a couple months ago. I've had to return the boots 3 times; twice for creaking in the right boot next to the big toe and once for an eyelet popping off during first lace up. The 4th pair I got had the creaking too but I was 2 days from my trip so I kept them. I spent 10 days on the road from TX to WY, hiking along the way. One hike was in Vail, CO. 3 miles, very strenuous, steep ascents/descents and rocky. The boots performed great with great traction on muddy, rocky surfaces. Another hike in Yellowstone NP (5 miles) had varying terrain with some steep ascents/descents, rocky paths, smooth paths and muddy/watery paths. The boots still performed great and the Waterproofing was flawless. The boots breathe pretty well too so no sweaty feet. The last hard hike was in Grand Tetons, 9 miles, with varying terrain, bushwhacking and two stream crossings at the 5 mile mark. The stream bottoms were muck so the boot was totally submerged in gunk, hence, feet soaked. The boot can't help that! For the remaining 4 miles of the hike the boots drained and started to dry a bit when a hard rain hit. Other hikes were flat trails which didn't challenge the boot at all so not detailed here. All in all, I didn't really even think of the boots while hiking which is what you want. Who needs boots that distract you from incredible views? I did have to order 1/2 size larger than normal as they run short for some reason. For $33 I think I got a steal!!!
