I bought two of these for my wife and I and they work well. They will hold two pairs of traditional alpine skies easily, and bulkier AT bindings are possible althought a little bit more tricky. I was able to fit a pair of 183 skis, Fritschi AT bindings, poles, and all of my backcountry gear, helme... Read More

  • “Hi Team Sierra!

Just wondering if this bag can be used as a snowboard bag?
And how many does it fit?

    Appreciate your assistance!

    Kind Regards,

Asked by Ice Qream from Melbourne (VIC) Australia on 6/22/2014 6:35:25 AM
    • No, it isn't wide enough for a snowboard. There are other bags meant for snowboards that you should get. Good Luck!

    • It could, but I do not recommend this bag. It fit my very wide (170mm at the tip) X194cm skis easily, but is tapered at the top so it holds less than you would expect. The snowboard bindings would have to be removed. More importantly, the bag held up very poorly. After 1 season, (3 trips snd 20 ski days total) there are multiple tears and one of the rivets holding the wheels on one side is gone. The bag is shallow, only 6 1/2" wide and only 10" wide, so it .would hold at most one snowbeard. My last bag, a Columbia, was 8" deep X12 wide (but sadly only fit ski's to 185cm.) It has held up for 4 seasons

    • My husband seems to think that it would fit one snowboard.

  • “This bag is compressed to the shortest is how long?”
Asked by qiaoqiaoshetianlang from CA on 12/11/2013 10:13:08 PM
    • I was able to compress the bag to about 30 x 10 x 4.

  • “Does the bag open on the end or does it unzip the entire length of the bag?”
Asked by suzanne from seattle on 11/19/2013 7:47:47 PM
  • “is this bag suitable for fat skis (ie: 127cm waist) ?”
Asked by Nick from Thredbo on 9/27/2013 9:14:38 PM
    • I hope you meant 127mm. 127cm is 50 inches wide. The bag's dimensions are 6.5" X 10" x 81". Of course what are the widths of the tail and shovel since they are the widest part of the ski.

  • “Just bought this. Divider is not in center of bag. Is the intent to have one set of skiis, then divider then 2nd set of skiis with 2 sets of poles in the larger area?”
Asked by Mitch from Unknown on 1/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
    • That would be correct.
