Worst Shoe I've Ever Worn

I loved this shoe when I bought it. I told people it was the shoe that would keep me running well into old age. It felt that comfortable. Two weeks in, the mesh began to split and crack. Three weeks in, and all the cushion compressed, but the thick sole remained, so it felt like I was walking on two planks of wood. They were relegated to light hiking shoes at that point. But alas, the first day hike I wore them on (about 1.5 hours) resulted in blisters so bad that, for the last half mile of the hike, I took the shoes off an walked barefoot in the snow. So I write it off to, "OK. Hoka's not the shoe for me." And I start sharing my Hoke experience. So far, 100% of the people I've talked to who have worn Hoka for more than a few months have had the same experience. This shoe is overpriced, overrated, under-performing, and not durable. My advice: AVOID! Try Asics Nimbus, or some other shoe that LOOKS like it has less cushion, but will make you feel like you're running on Cloud 9.
