Verified Buyer Reviewed by BV trail runner from Colorado on Friday, May 26, 2017These are great for trail running with their traction, but the tie box is more narrow than the Stinson. Think I'll have to return and look for some altras.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by rams in ca from California on Friday, April 28, 2017A Podiatrist recommended these to me to help relieve my metatarsalgia pain. They have helped tremendously! And they fit perfectly and are so really cute and fun, too. Thanks
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Kath from Orlando on Tuesday, April 25, 2017I wear a size 8 in most shoes and the size 8 fit here. Sometimes I have to go up a half a size with sneakers.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Aging slowly from Alaska on Thursday, April 20, 2017Wanted a trail Hoka and that's what I got. I am very pleased with the grip and how it handles roots, mud, and rocky surfaces. Color is a bit bright, but I managed to take care of that pretty quickly. Also, needed a wide toebox and these are serving me well. Would highly recommend.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Crazy Dog Lady from Atlanta on Tuesday, April 11, 2017Vibrant colors and great fit. Hokas are my new favorite shoes.

“How does the toebox of this shoe compare to the hoka one one clifton 2 or 3? I'm looking for which is deeper and wider.”
Sorry, I am familiar with the Stinson but not the Clifton.
“I power walk on a paved trail. Would these work for that? I cant run because of a partial knee replacement but, I need a shoe with great stability and traction. When it rains , the trail can get slippery. In the winter, the trail is not always clear. ”
I don't see why not. Just know the lugs won't hold up as long on asphalt or cement as on dirt trails. The lugs on this shoe are listed as some of the bigger lugs I've seen. I'm replacing the Stinson ATR model of which I've worn a few. The Stinson ATR is a bit wider hence a little more ground contact for a more secure perch. Personally I just wanted to try something a little less obvious than the Stinson. I hope the Speedgoat will be much like the Stinson in durability which I've worn on both trail AND road for the past year. For the record, Hoka's seem to run a bit large. I've worn my street shoe size in the last 4 pair vs. usually sizing up a whole size for road running shoes. Hope this helps. If they don't work you can probably return them but I know that's a hassle.
Yes, these can be used on a paved trail.
