Left knee likes these shoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Coastal walker from Central Coast, CA on Friday, April 28, 2017First I thought maybe too small ( I got 7 1/2 - I usually go for roomer 8 but sold out on size) so I changed the laces arrangement for best fit (Important!) and then they fit perfect with a light sock. I changed the insoles with sport insoles as I have high arches which also took a bit of the softness out the shoe. Had a great 4 mile walk, no rubbing & my left knee likes them even more! I'll keep the insoles for when I need a little more cush. I'm not a runner, using these just for walking on hard surfaces.
Serious walkerReviewed by flyingchef from NYC on Thursday, April 20, 2017i live in Manhattan and work as a dog walker. I can put on 6-10 miles on concrete every day. I've started going to the podiatrist for the first time and he recommended Hoka sneakers. I also suffer from serious lower back pain.
in the first day of wearing them, it took a little getting used to all the comfort. I'm not used to that, but my lower back and feet were relieved of pain for the first time in years. I can't believe how wonderful these shoes are.
The colors are a little funky, so less vibrant ones would be more attractive, but when you notice the difference in how you feel, you won't care.
I'm a 7.5 and these were very true to size. I got the M width and it feels perfect. I don't think the toe area is narrow, and I have trouble with the sides of my pinky toes, but they might be narrow for other folks. it's worth a try to see.
I also took out the inserts and went to Jack Rabbit and got firmer insoles to replace them. They ran $50 and are totally worth it for the full effect of the shoe. I advise that if you really need help with your feet, like I did.
BEST EVERVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nance from Oregon on Sunday, April 9, 2017After initially balking at Hoka One One's squishy marshmallow style athletic shoes I have become a passionate believer and vocal supporter. I am a flat footed supinator and thusly, hard to please. But here's the deal, your foot is held/supported side-to-side in these funky shoes. No wobbling. Squish for comfort, but NO wobbling. Absolutely the best walking shoe I have ever owned. I cannot speak to running, but for long distance (8+mile) fast-paced daily walking this shoe has earned a rare 5 stars from me. Hoka One One has styles that speak well to many foot-configurations. I hated these shoes the first... AND the second time I tried them on. Then I spent some time in them, and they changed my life... well, them and my new compression socks. But that's another review!
Great ProductVerified Buyer Reviewed by walker from CA on Monday, March 27, 2017These shoes are wonderful and you can not beat the price. I work in a hospital and am on my feet for 12 hours on hard floors. The sizing is true to what I wear in other running shoes.
Too smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by moondog from MN on Thursday, March 16, 2017I read the reviews and went up a size to 8.5. I have a pair of HOO Challengers in an 8. The 8.5 was too tight in the toe and also too short overall for my foot. I love HOO and will find another pair of Challengers.
Horrible revamped shoeReviewed by ralee from New Orleans on Wednesday, December 28, 2016I used to LOVE Stinson Lites. Loved them. They got me running again after foot surgery. I've run half marathons, an Ultra, and countless shorter races. I win top prize in my age group, often. I LOVE THESE SHOES. However, as soon as I put on these new revamped ones...I knew something was wrong. I ran a 10 miler, and was in such pain, I had to stop twice! I've never done that previously. I should be able to cruise through 10 miles no problem with good shoes. Apparently, Hoka was purchased as a company and they changed the product. I am now on the search for better shoes. PRAY FOR ME.
Narrow Toe BoxVerified Buyer Reviewed by Bobi from Virginia on Friday, November 18, 2016I have ordered Hoka One One's in the past and have always been very pleased. This pair is a bit more narrow in the toe box and I wish I would have ordered a half size up. However, they are comfortable right out of the box.
