narrow like their running shoes

Wanted to like these, but they are very narrow in the toe box, also height maybe an issue in the toebox as well. Need to size up at least 1/2 a size if you have anything other than a narrow foot. If you have owned Hokas before you know. Unfortunately, Hoka needed give us more room up front for their first foray into the hiking boot market. Additionally, their waterproofness is suspect. I have a pair of the tor ultra hi boots with the same event lining, and any water that is high enough to get to the tonque will leak inside the shoe. So either the Event cannot be submerged or the stitching/design is defective in the tonque area. The insoles of these shoes a fairly thick and can be changed out with something easily 1/2 the thickness to get more room in the toebox.
