Comfy but NOT Waterproof

Definite pros and cons here. This boot is super comfy, so the fit and feel is among the best I've ever worn. However they are NOT waterproof. Not even remotely. It's flatout ludicrous that they're advertised as such. "Water Resistant" might even be a stretch, though at least in the ballpark of accurate. They have no business however claiming "waterproof".

I had high hopes for these as my new fall/winter hikers, but the first snowshoe trip I wore them on (6 miles round-trip, maybe 5 hours out total), they were soaked. Inside of the shoe was soaked, the footbeds taken out to dry were wet, and my socks of course were soaked. This was with OR gaiters over the top, so no snow was coming in the top of the shoe, so it really and truly just soaked in. Not Waterproof. What a bummer as otherwise these would be the perfect hiking boot. As is, they're just ok.
