Better fitting than most, easy adjustment, quality

We've used it twice, and I love it. The dog likes the easy fit and unhampered legs. He could care less about getting wet - its me that likes less toweling off at home! Pros: Plentiful reflective cording and graphics, chest coverage, ample hindquarters drop and the very easy to adjust neck and waist fit. . Super easy on and off - over the head and one buckle, neck slide adjust if needed. Looks very, very well made. Light weight, waterproof (seams too!), wind block Interior "fleece" is more like fuzzy mesh so this not a winter weight for oldies. Con?: Fabric is perfect for walks but it would not survive repeated mouthy tugging of some beastly buddies at the dog park, doesn't cover front elbows. SIZE: I have a lean, 30" narrow& deep chested, 22.5" backlength, 70lb Std Poodle cross. The 22 coat fit but I returned for a 24 to give longer neck and hindquarter coverage. Perfect for my goal but the 24" is clearly fitted for a slightly bigger, heavier dog (per Hurrta site the 24 is for a 35"-39" chest, so maybe a large Golden or 90lb GSD?). Still, I'd would order up if between sizes. Note that the waist buckle strap is actually intended to wrap around the EXTERIOR of the coat and up over the back - better than as pictured, as it holds down the coat in wind. Coat also has a light elastic strap that loops under/between each hind leg, that kept the back of the coat down in strong winds- a good design idea. I had to shorten the rear leg elastics, probably because of my dog's lean build and my sizing up. (If you don't like straps, snip off.) Now I want a set of the Hurtta leggings : ) for both of us!
