This sweater has absolutely no stretch to it, and was like a wool blanket sewn into a sweater shape.

As others have written this is an especially high quality old style wool sweater. That’s good but also means there is little or no stretch and the Fit has to be just right and for me (5’9, 175), the large size is great.
Only negative note is that it could be too warm for inside wear. If you plan to spend a winter day outside, this is a viable alternative to a down puffy. -

I am 6'3'' and 230 lb no beer belly. The fit was perfect. The fit is slim without excessive fabric in the waist area, like most clothes have these days, assuming that everyone is fat. Sleeves long enough and the sweater is long enough for me. The fabric is of excellent quality and the seems are excellent. Very tightly woven. Made to last. It is extremely warm and the fabric is not itchy (I am used to wearing wool and may not be the best judge of whether others will find it itchy). Ordered another after getting the first one.

We will see how it performs in real winter conditions, but I expect to be satisfied. A bit expensive though.
