Sizing issues

I'm 5'3" and wear a size 6 or 8. I ordered an XL. Yup, an XL. If I had gotten a smaller size it would not fit over my hips, since my hips are wider than my waist (like most women). Because it does not have a two-way zipper that can be unzipped a little at the bottom to accommodate my female-shaped form, it fits very tightly over my hips, and due to the excessive length of it. Unless you are six feet tall or extremely long waisted, you need it to fit over your hips. It is long enough to cover my rear end completely when I'm standing, but it bunches up annoyingly in the front when I sit down (because the zipper cannot be unzipped at the bottom). The "chartreuse" color is a very bright yellow with a very slight green undertone, not what I would call chartreuse. Icebreaker's "citron" color is much closer to chartreuse than this "chartreuse" is. The fabric is smooth on the outside and fleecy on the inside and seems lighter in weight than you would expect. I think it's also warmer than the Quantum GT 260 weight hoodie, even though the Quantum weighs more. The zip hand pockets are roomy, but the one on the sleeve is fused on (not sewn) and not big enough to hold much more than a key or a chapstick. I debated for a while about returning it because of the sizing and the zipper, but kept it because I don't have anything else this color.
