Luxurious, thin, not itchy. I went with the mediums (I wear a 7 - 7.5 women's, size 38 euro, size 5.5 - 6 kids). They are nice for cycling, but a bit too stretchy for hiking. They don't provide good traction between the foot and footbed of the shoe. Maybe the smaller size would be better for tha...

I'll still wear them cause they don't really show with my jeans but I wouldn't be happy with them if I wanted to wear them with shorts.
