I use the merino wool for x-c skiing and kayaking underlayers. No itch, no smell just warm, light product...get some.

  • Good base layer choice

Be happy Sierra scooped up these light weight merino tops from a reputable company. The quality control is excellent and the fit is true to size. Soft, itch free and warm enough for extended outdoor activity under a good shirt or sweater or by itself around the house. A great purchase. And merino has long term wearablity going for it. You needn't wash after every wear but when you do use a good wool wash product like the Nik-Wax product also sold at Sierra. Follow the instructions and these will last quite a while.
  • Lightweight comfortable wool

I bought this for my husband.he was surprised it was wool because it was so soft. I know it runs a bit small because I have one too so I got one size bigger.

  • very lightweight, warmer than you'd expect!

I really like this top. It has instantly replaced the synthetic tops I had been using (happily) for years. Machine wash, hang dry. In a pinch you can machine dry low heat if you remove promptly. It doesn't get stinky like the synthetics. I am a cyclist, and I can easily use this for several rides without washing. When I layer with this and other merino wool tops, the feeling I get when out riding in the cold is as if I have grown fur. I feel warm while still knowing that its cold, and when I get hot I am still comfortable and can hardly tell I'm sweating.
  • Great undershirt!
Reviewed by Jessica from Richmond VA on Tuesday, January 7, 2014
It really does not stink after repeated wearings. It is a good underlayer for cold weather outside, but also feels good indoors. Not itchy at all. The only complaint is really long sleeves, but I have learned to fold them up before I put on my dress shirt.
