Icebreaker 200 is just amazing stuff. I wear these for alpine skiing, nordic skiing, and fall/spring hikes. Feels soft like cotton against my skin and the wool is warm and stink free even after days of continuous wearing. I've worn these for days at a time, rinsed them out in the sink, let them d... Reviewed by mark the global mercy worker from Villavicencio, COLOMBIA on Wednesday, December 3, 2014I purchased these for a winter skiing trip for use under soft shell ski pants... but they're just so buttery soft and temperature regulating and flatteringly form fitting (not constrictive skin tight) that even a month before the trip I'm lounging around in the house in them and wearing them as the most comfortable pajama bottoms ever. I also appreciate the no-fly design.
As a performance garment they are perfectly gusseted between the legs for movement, the waistband never rolls, and the 3/4 length legs stay put just above mid-ankle. I have LOTS of Icebreaker merino and this one meets their high quality standards for form and function. And the fabric is... luxurious.
The 200 level merino is so thin and wicking that I am imagining wearing these back down in the tropical heat and humidity of Colombia as both fitness and loungewear. They're that nice.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Vik from Chile on Tuesday, October 21, 2014This is a great base layer but buy down a couple of sizes. I bought an XL of this and an XXL of the Icebreaker Drive tights and these are too loose and the Icebreaker Drive tights are just right. Other than this, love these... can be used with a loose shirt over for yoga with knee protection and no fly.
Reviewed by K from C-Town on Friday, February 14, 2014I bought these along with the Icebreaker Bodyfit 150 Crew Base Layer Top, and they make a great pair of wool long underwear. I love the 3/4 length of these bottoms. They are warm, and work perfectly with my long smartwool socks. I had to wait for a BIG sale in order to justify buying them though, as they are expensive.
Reviewed by AdAmAnkoz from Colorado on Wednesday, January 1, 2014I took these tights right out of the, as usual, timely arrival from STP, and put them right into my backpack. Before crawling into my sleeping bag at 10,500 feet on December 30, I striped off my sweaty layer and donned my new Icebreaker tights, then slept quite comfortable. The tights stayed on as by bottom layer in the morning as I began my accent of Pikes Peak. They didn't hike up, nor down, keeping me comfortable, warm and dry. Welcome back wool, so long poly!
Reviewed by Funhog skier from Colorado on Saturday, March 23, 2013These ae a great base layer; soft, warm, breathable and doses not interfere with the skiboot cuff fit like a full length bottom.

“I'm looking for a baselayer that is ski-boot-top length, ie that goes to the top of my downhill ski boots. Can you give dimensions of the length of this 3/4 length tights?||Also, are these "tights" tight? Do they have some lycra in them?|Would these be classified a light weight?||Thanks”
