Disappointing Quality

Compared to previous Cascade Hoodie models, this incredibly disappointing. I ordered it in Patina and Maroon size Large. I'm generally a size 10 (5'2) except pushing size 12 in the bust area and these jackets hugged perfectly because of the 12% Spandex. The back is noticeably longer than the front so if you have a tummy, an eye for perfection or distaste for hi-low fashion tops this is probably going to bother you. Because of the 12% Spandex, the weave of the material is very tight and coarsely woven, not soft on the hand at all. It's classified as lightweight because it's 200gm but feels midweight because of the realfleece felting inside. It is form-fitting, plush on the inside, and comfortable but won't retain heat as well because of the high spandex content. I'm returning these jackets because they arrived new in plastic packaging but the quality of the material it's made of could be considered salvaged or vintage, even used. The Maroon is medium darker muted purple color with red undertone. This jacket looks like it's endured a summer of sun exposure and discolored into a reddish fade even though it's brand new. The Patina which is a medium muted peacock color also has this same faded sun exposure look except the undertone is white. They also were felted in some places on the outside and prepilling visibly inside the package before I even opened it.
If you don't mind a weathered look or expect this jacket to last more than 6 months, I suggest you give it a try because the fit is flattering and comfortable. But if you're like me and expect these to last more than a year, don't bother.
