I'm a big fan of Icebreaker's stuff. These socks are great. They are rather thin and cool, good for casual use in the warmer months or slimmer fitting shoes. I personally wouldn't use them for hiking and such, as that's not what they're made for. We'll see how they hold up over time, being so th... Read More

Verified Buyer Reviewed by PandaDragon from California on Friday, July 1, 2016You probably only need to buy 1 or 2 pairs ever. These tend to last and great for travel if you need to cut the weight.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by AD from Washington State on Friday, April 15, 2016I bought size small because I am a woman who wears size 8 or 8.5 shoes. These socks fit perfectly. I really like the feel of the Icebreaker wool for socks. They feel as if they will last well, and they're quite comfortable. Great bright colors.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ben from North Carolina on Tuesday, February 9, 2016These are really thin, comfortable socks in a nice design and bold colors. Mine had no evident flaws despite being listed as 2nds. The fit is smaller than Icebreaker hiking socks I own, though. I normally wear a small, but would need a medium in this sock.

Usually has some slight flaw. I'm sure the term varies from company to company. I can see absolutely nothing wrong with them. Well made and comfortable.
a 2nd means there is a flaw in the product. As a general rule its good to avoid buying 2nds, as an unspecified flaw might be related to sub optimal materiel, so its hard to determine if its a really good deal for the seller or the buyer. Sometimes the flaw is inconsequential, such as a color that is not correct, or a crooked seam. So if you can spot the flaw and its inconsequential buying 2nds is not a bad way to go. But the lack of information makes buying 2nds dicey.
Be that is it may, but I love these socks. I bought a whole bunch more of them in different colors. In fact I'm wearing a brand new pair today.
Interestingly enough I was on Mt. Baldy last week for my birthday, and it was snowing on me, and I was wearing these socks, and I realized my feet were actually a little chilly. But it was windy and snowing and I was above 10K, wearing airy trail runners (and shorts of course, yes Ice-breaker sonics) and ice breaker shirts and I was comfy so long as I was moving. uffda!
But on my ride into work today, these socks were so comfy, and styling too.
Hi; I have no idea what "2nds" means, I bought several pairs of these socks and as far as I can tell they are perfect in every way. Maybe the dye lot is off a bit, or something else, but I cannot see anything about then that isn't correct. BTW, these are about the best socks I've ever had! All Icebreaker products are amazing in my view, and do exactly what they are supposed to. They fit well, work well and seem to last forever !
Good luck ! N.K.
