5.0 out of 5 stars. Great tank

I love Icebreaker so much in the winter that I figured I'd buy these to wear this summer. Great quality and a flattering cut. I've learned to size up with Icebreaker -- I'm 5'8", 135, and the large fits well (in the comfy/flattering sweet spot between skin tight and baggy).

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. comfortable lightweight layer

Love merino wool as a warm, lightweight layer. This tank is summer weight for hot days but also works as a warmer base layer. It's a little sheer (needs a bra or other layer for modesty if wearing on its own). I got the tasmin/snow color (because it was available in my size) which is a pretty turquoise/aquamarine color; it's light but not pastel-looking. I like the cut of this tank- it's long enough to skim past the hips (no midriff flashing) the armholes are loose, but no gaping. Full coverage on the back, I'm 5'6" 120# athletic build and the size S fit perfect.

I’ll start by saying, I wish I had bought a few more while I had the chance. True to size: I’m 114#, 5’4”, trim, small bust, and the size Small fits great. Not tight, not baggy, just right. Armholes and neck like perfect- not gaping, too low, or too big. I’ve been in Hawaii a week, and I’ve worn the one daily on my beach runs and only had to hand wash (hung to dry), once. No stink! Cool, light, airy, and the perfect first layer under a sun blocking shirt. I also wore it over on the plane, under a light sweater. If you can get your size, buy several. Really a great find.
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Very thin fabric with faults
Reviewed by LTM from Massachusetts on Wednesday, May 10, 2017
I purchased a medium in this tank (5' 7", 125lbs, thin waist with most of my weight on my bottom half) and probably should've gone a small but they were out of stock at the time. It's pretty shapeless but I figured I would use it as a top for when it's humid out so that aspect would be acceptable.
The blue color is nice but as others have pointed out, you really need something under this to wear in public. The fabric stretches out pretty easily since it is thin but I was still alright with the shirt until I noticed a hole in the wool about 2 months after receiving the product with little wear. This was not on a seam and I do not anything rough with the shirt (no dryer, only wash when really needed) so is really a fault in the fabric itself.
I buy Icebreaker brand a lot and love the functionality of their products, even for their higher prices, but I will switch to another brand if this continues to happen (this is my second item from them with this problem). Their warranty is great but it's only worth it to a certain extent.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Soft, cool top

The top is a pretty color, fits a bit loose (which I like), and appears as a solid color (which I also like). The small is not form fitting on me so I can wear it out kayaking, etc. not just at the gym. Soft merino wool and high quality- what one expects from Icebreaker. Thanks STP.

Super soft and light. Great for hot days. Not skin tight which I appreciate. 5ft 115lbs and small fits nicely.
