For cold days on the river, zip up the collar and this will be a great base layer for fishing.

I use this as base layer for mountain biking. So far temps only been mid-60s. Lets see when it gets real cold. However, it did wick sweat away from skin better than synthetics.
I let it dry in the garage and wore it again - no odors.

I ordered several different Icebreaker lightweight base layer tops in 150 and 200 weight. This is the only one I kept due primarily to the fit. The Oasis, Mondo, Sprint, and anything with Bodyfit in the name, all fit very snug. I have a reasonably athletic build and could wear the other models, but i prefer the Everyday model fit, which is still a trim, athletic cut--just not quite as much so as the others. I would also say that while all of them feel nice--for wool--they are still a bit scratchy. Perhaps not so much that I couldn't get used to it, but i believe I will mostly wear this top over a short sleeve T, which is another reason for me to prefer the bit of extra room this model affords. I can't speak to how the product performs as I'haven't tested it yet.

About Icebreaker

Crafted using only the finest merino wool grown in New Zealand’s Southern Alps, Icebreaker clothing is known around the globe for its incredible comfort and performance. Unlike synthetic fabrics developed in a lab, Icebreaker merino wool is grown, cultivated and field-tested in the mountains. Designed to offer exceptional comfort during a range of outdoor sports, Icebreaker underwear and apparel naturally resists odors, regulates body temperature, wicks moisture and dries quickly. Superfine New Zealand merino wool is also much softer than traditional sheep’s wool, which means no itch. Icebreaker socks, long underwear and base layers also come in a selection of weights to keep you warm without overheating. Ready to join the merino revolution?
