Not much to criticize here. It's basically a light weight puffy that really performs.... Super comfortable and fits true to size. And you can't beat the STP price

First of all, think of this garment more like a sweatshirt or sweater, and less like a jacket. People tend to think of jackets as impervious to wind and rain, and this isn't that. The poly outer shell will deter a lot of wind and a little rain, though, so it's not useless as a jacket, it's just not the same thing. But it's not supposed to be, either.

The warmth-to-weight ratio of this item is comparable to a down jacket I have. In my mind, the two pieces are interchangeable. The guy who said it's too loud for hunting is crazy. I would have not problem taking this in the deer stand with me, and for elk - well, it's just a non-issue. And as for the zipper - yeah, it's on the left. All the Icebreaker stuff is like that - mens and womens. I don't know why, but it's not a big deal either.

Personally, I like this item in a layering system. I wear a merino base layer and a thin merino vest under it to make it super warm, and they're all so light and compressible that it's easy to shed a layer and stick it in my pack.

There are three pockets on here - 2 hand and 1 inside chest pocket. They've been great for holding smaller gear. The jacket fits me well, meaning I can maneuver without feeling restricted with no "extra" room or material. That's exactly how I like clothes to fit for bow hunting - no cloth to get in the way and screw up my shot.

Finally, how I would improve this garment:

There seem to be a lot of extra colorful 'flourishes' that the designers added to make the piece look cool, but don't do me any favors in the woods. The brown underarms, for example. I would prefer for the whole piece to be covered in camo. It's a different material than the front and back, but I know they can do it, since they print their merino hats and base layers in camo. There's also an orange zipper and logo tag. I don't mind the tag being there, but can those pieces be brown or black instead? I don't want to give deer or elk the tiniest advantage of seeing me in the woods. I know they're not supposed to be able to see orange, but still, something that matched the camo better would be preferred.

All in all, this is a great item. I would highly recommend it to anyone, even with my minor gripes.

Nice warm wool but too much noise from liner to use for hunting...

Very comfortable and heat. Great product. I`m 192cm high and 103kg. Use size XL. Looks like athletic feat. I`m happy with this jacket.

This jacket is mislabeled as a men's jacket. Sizing is significantly smaller and zipper is female sided
