Verified Buyer Reviewed by Wool Nut from Maine on Wednesday, September 7, 2016Quality detailing, rugged, smooth, highly utilitarian pants. It's been hard to find wool pants outside the heavy felted German army pant; these are what I have been looking for.
Reviewed by Monmon from Alaska on Saturday, August 13, 2016I just got these and they seem like great pants for hiking and camping. They are about the thickness of a pair of jeans and not too scratchy. The one thing I would say that doesn't really work for me is the button and tie up loop on the bottom since I have to get them hemmed. It would have worked better by the knee than the ankle.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by karen from louisiana on Wednesday, February 24, 2016I love these pants, but actually had to send this one back because of the waist seam unraveling in the first week. I have two other pairs. They are soft, warm and comfortable. I would like another pair in brown, but that was the last, unless I get lucky and someone sends a pair back or they fix this pair. would buy more if other colors.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ksky from Washington State on Monday, January 18, 2016These have a flattering fit, not too baggy (pic on this site is a bit baggier than how they fit on me which is better than pic) and I can tell they will last a long time. Plus, I can relax around a fire since wool is fire retardant--no melt holes like with synthetics, and no stinky with sweat. Have been wearing them non stop for over a week (washed them once during that time), haven't lost their shape, went hiking in them, walking in them. I am usually a size 6-8, height 5'8", and the 29' fit me great (FYI they say size 8 on the labeland , and the 30's say size 10--gave those to a friend, 5' 10" and she loves them) I can also get a pair of thin wool long johns under them just fine. Washed them as directed and they did not shrink. Darn good pant. Don't hesitate to get them.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by bungalow gal from Minnesota + North Wales on Wednesday, October 28, 2015Size is always hard with buying pants online - first pair I order was too large, so back they went for next size down. I'm 5'2", 125 and the 29 fit great except for length (story of my life!). Waist and 'rise' were perfect with the 29's, altho the quality control at Icebreaker leaves something to be desired - one leg had the rollup straps, the other didn't --?! Odd, but I planned on removing those anyway. So - after hemming to MY length and removing the goofy straps, I took 'em on a hiking trip to the Welsh mountains where I lived in them for a few days -- and liked the fit & feel VERY MUCH. Just got done ordering a second pair (wonder how many rollup straps I'll get this time?).
