Merino pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Pat the Marine from Virginia on Wednesday, March 7, 2018Got them for tie waist. Very versatile. I’m slender so they’re a bit large in hips but otherwise great
Love these pants!Reviewed by didee99 from CO on Sunday, February 11, 2018I ordered my size based on the "Fit Finder- find your size" on Icebreaker's website. It worked great for me - I didn't want them too tight so ordered one size up and they fit even better than expected. Very comfortable and nice to have the built-in tie at the waist to keep them in place. Love the material and the gray color being heather and not solid. These will be great for the summer in Colorado which is never very hot in the mountains and always cool in the evenings.
irregularVerified Buyer Reviewed by blndinthesky from Chicago on Wednesday, January 24, 2018The crotch runs very tight, and is irregular in these pants.
Not As ExpectedReviewed by Spinnerette from Inland Northwest on Friday, January 12, 2018I bought these to wear as hiking pants and purchased them in my usual size 29 (size 8 pants). The fabric is quite lightweight and thin enough to see through. I liked the cut of the pant and they would probably have been okay for hiking, but the fabric appears fairly fragile and I'd be concerned about snagging or tearing the pants. The cut of the pants is nice too, however they were too small for me to be comfortable in for ordinary wear much less on the trail. Nice try, but these had to go back.
Very thin, runs tinyVerified Buyer Reviewed by LonnieMoo from San Francisco Bay Area on Wednesday, December 20, 2017so I tried to compare sizing to another pair of shorts I have from Icebreaker. didn't work. these are going back. they are quite thin too.
Best pants ever. Run small!!Verified Buyer Reviewed by sandylion42 from Colorado on Tuesday, November 7, 2017I have two pairs of these! Absolutely awesome. They are soft and comfortable and dressy enough to wear to work. They do however run small!! I’m a zero normally, maybe a two sometimes. I ordered these in a 27 and a 28. The 26 was tight. I could wear them if i didnt mind feeling smushed... but ew. I’m 5’4 and 112lbs.
so nice! butVerified Buyer Reviewed by Sarah in ME from Maine on Friday, November 3, 2017I bought a pair of black pants, size 28, and love them so much I bought the same size in green. The green ones are MUCH snugger. Not nearly as comfortable. Back they go. Debating whether to try the grey...
The black ones that fit well are wonderful. Thin, but not wrinkle prone. I've worn them multiple times without washing (we've been caught in the power outages!) and they look fresh and nice.
Lovely pants but too smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Kathy from Kansas on Monday, October 30, 2017Great blend of cotton-wool fabric, nice cut and color, but too small in the hips for me. I ordered sz 29 and I wear a 10.
Not worth the $$$Verified Buyer Reviewed by Lizard the Runner from Virginia on Thursday, October 19, 2017Normally, SP has great products at affordable prices. Sadly, these pants were neither and had to be returned for refund.
Very thin. Scratchy material. Cheap-looking yet $$$. Save your money and find a different pair of pants from the many other brands and styles offered by SP.
Shasta pantsReviewed by Kym from Virginia on Tuesday, October 17, 2017Well, I should have read the description more carefully. These are a wool/cotton blend, only slightly more than 50% wool. I was looking for some nice warm winter pants, but these definitely are not winter weight. I will say they looked to be nicely made. I can't speak to fit because when I realized how lightweight they were they went right back in the bag and box.

“Do these pants stretch out over time? Or shrink?”
I can’t answer that because I returned them. I was expecting something warm but they are made from summer weight fabric.
I would say I bit of both, kind of like jeans. You wear them and they stretch out a little, then wash them and they shrink a little then they stretch back out a little. I bought a size 28 so that they would not be too form fitting and then I felt they stretched a bit so I put them in the wash and dried them in the dryer (usually air dry Icebreaker clothing) from this point, I felt that they shrank more than they stretched which was my aim but otherwise I would say leave them out of the dryer after washing.
“The size 26 in theses pants: Is that the waist in inches? What is the inseam for the size 26?
Yes, the size is the waist in inches. The inseam is 32".
