This is a soft, great looking, and great fitting hat. It's also warm and I love that you can wear it several ways. Both rock!

Seems like it will keep your head (and face and neck) warm. This thing is huge - it's like the Cat in the Hat. Seriously, if you wear this as pictured you can keep your lunch on top of your head with room to spare.

...the reversible design, the soft cozy merino wool. Great head coverage for a M size head, that will go over the ears. Really nice in all those categories.

The three-star rating is for durability. Over the past year, I've worn this Icebreaker beanie lightly as part of my arsenal of about five beanies, and washed it about half a dozen times in cold water. It's never been in the clothes drier. Already the threads/ yarns are beginning to explode.

    Otherwise, love it.

I bought this because of the reviewer who said it was the warmest thing s/he'd ever put on her/his head. It's very warm, I agree, not the warmest I've ever worn, but warm enough for most purposes. The knit is very smooth and nice, and it's very good looking, especially if you cuff it so that the contrast on the opposite side shows. The only thing wrong was that in this reversible hat, there's a tag sewn into the seam, and I made a hole in the seam getting if off, even though I tried very hard to avoid that.

About Icebreaker

Crafted using only the finest merino wool grown in New Zealand’s Southern Alps, Icebreaker clothing is known around the globe for its incredible comfort and performance. Unlike synthetic fabrics developed in a lab, Icebreaker merino wool is grown, cultivated and field-tested in the mountains. Designed to offer exceptional comfort during a range of outdoor sports, Icebreaker underwear and apparel naturally resists odors, regulates body temperature, wicks moisture and dries quickly. Superfine New Zealand merino wool is also much softer than traditional sheep’s wool, which means no itch.
