It is about time they sold some factory studded shoes with style and comfort. If you live in an area that has slick/icy days these boots have great traction.

as a city mail carrier I am preparing myself for a new adventure in Minnesota. The city I carry mail for most homes sit on lil steep hills with narrow steps heading up to the mail boxes. With so much hazardous hidden ice, these light weight boots will work out great and have very toasty warm feet :) my kids now wants a pair!

It is about time they sold some factory studded shoes with style and comfort. If you live in an area that has slick/icy days these boots have great traction.

I have not owned them too long so cannot attest to their durability. I have a semi wide foot and these fit very comfortably. The inner zipper is nicely padded and you barely notice it in comparison to some other boots.

There is a draw cord on the rear of these boots to adjust calf width but it is limited. I'd like to be able to synch them even tighter.

If you have narrow heels and wide toes like me they will fit like a glove.

  • “Are the cleats/sole lugs removable or will they harm indoor floors? Thank you.”
Asked by Seeker from Laramie, Wyo on 10/5/2012 12:00:00 AM
    • The cleats are not removable. The cleats are carbide and could scratch the finish of some floors.

  • “I have a question about the sizing of women's ice bug shoes. these are made in sweden and I expect would be phrased in euro sizes, whereas they are listed in US sizes. Looking at the icebug.se website it seems for example that they only go up to women's size 10. I'm wondering if the sizes for women's shoes listed here are actually womens sizes or the transcription of say, size 43 to the only available US size (Men's 10). My real question is that I'm looking for a Women's 11 and not sure if such a thing exists for icebug, and if not, what's the closest size to order.”
Asked by matt from indiana on 9/3/2012 12:00:00 AM
    • The closest size we carry to an 11 is a 10.5. I think 10.5 is the biggest size they manufacture. Thanks for asking.

About Icebug

Created in 2001 by Swedish running enthusiasts, the Icebug brand found its niche in the crowded footwear world by providing unparalleled grip on slick winter surfaces. The earliest Icebug shoes featured BUGrip® outsoles created from a special rubber compound with 15-15 carbide studs integrated into the tread. Offering incredible traction on a variety of slippery surfaces, including ice, packed snow and wet wood, the design helped runners stay on track 12 months a year. For runners who don't need the carbide tips, select Icebug trail running shoes now feature advanced Rubber 9 Extreme compound for amazing grip. For everyday winter wear, Icebug boots are also perfect for commuting and provide world-class warmth, weather protection and support.
