Sound construction and loft for keep at home emergency warmth or cold weather car camping.
Happiest in a roomy storage bag / pillow type cover, doesn't want to be confined, and tough to stuff.
Might last forever if not subjected to attempts to compress, this insulation fights back with a vengeance !

Should work for most people at 15 - 20 F and might be a better fit for those under 6 feet tall.

Perfect for a home power outage bag, you wouldn't want to attempt to make this carryable, it just aint.

A bargain choice for what it is !

This is a very warm sleeping bag. Yes, it is bulky, but even that would have been okay if it had either a neck/shoulder baffle or had been less bulky so you can wrap yourself in it around the neck to stop cold air from entering, but the bulkiness of the stuffing is too stiff to allow that.

We bought these to have in emergency while traveling the Alaska Highway this March, and to use in Alaska thereafter. I was somewhat shocked when the box arrived with two vastly different sized stuff sacks! One was much bigger than the other. Definitely not what you want to see right out of the box! Also, there are no compression straps on the stuff sacks. I immediately removed and thoroughly checked both sleeping bags for other discrepancies or QC issues. Thankfully all was OK beyond the stuff sacks. Oh well, at least one is incredibly easy to pack! In order to determine whether or not these would be sufficient for our purposes, I laid one out, without a puss pad, on our balcony in 15-degree weather. I climbed inside, zipped up and adjusted the hood. Wearing only a pair of long johns and light wool socks, I found myself uncomfortably warm in a matter of minutes, even without a pad! I had to loosen the hood and unzip the bag several inches to avoid overheating. I only stayed out there an hour but learned what I wanted to know. This sleeping bag is as warm as the Cold Weather Type II winter bags I was issued during my Army career. I'm convinced that it would work to it's -20 rating. The only drawback is the length. I'm only 5' 6" tall and had only 2-3" of bag left beyond my toes. IMO, a person standing 5' 9" or more would find this bag too short. Beyond that, this is one heckuva sleeping bag for the price!
