The sleeves are super baggy. Not really my style, tried a medium, but the sleeves were extra large. The fabric and construction were great, high quality, just not really my style of fit.

I bought this jacket primarily for fishing through heavy weather. I've found it has lots of room for extra layering, and that with layering I retain all my mobility. I need this quality especially for casting as I fly fish, and therefore have to be able to freely raise my arms above my head most of the day.

I've been out in many storms in this and have yet to feel a drop.

My only drawback is that the hood is large (since it is meant to accommodate a ski helmet). This won't be a drawback, but more of a plus for anyone using for its intended use.

This is my second Quantum. The first one gave me three great years. This one is even better. Quality is improved and I like the extra chest pocket. Matched with the chemical pant it's an unbeatable combo. Flylow nails it again.

When I got this shell it was impressive. I'm 5-10 195 and the large fit me very well. My only problem was that I thought there was a little more insulation in the jacket. Reading reviews on other sites lead me to this assumption. My only complaint was that the sleeves were a little longer than I thought they would be. If I had needed only a shell I would have kept it. However, I needed something I could grab and go with on below freezing days. Alone this jacket didn't fit the bill.

  • “Hi.
Which season is this model? 2012/13, 2013/14 ?
    Best regards”

    • I believe that it's 2012/2013. There are some changes to this year's model, so that's why last year's is on STP for such a great price.

    • well it does not say anyplace on it. Nor on the receipt from Sierra trading Post. I notice on the Flylow web site they still have the same exactly looking coat for 13/14. But since I got a good discount in early February maybe it was last years model ... So. No Idea , its quite nice though.
