Verified Buyer Reviewed by Kate from Oregon on Saturday, December 26, 2015I bought this jacket as a present for my husband. It's an excellent fit and is slightly longer than his other jackets, which is a nice feature for those of us who live in the rainy Northwest. There are lots of pockets and places to stash gloves etc. The only reason the jacket did't receive a 5 rating is the hood. Although the jacket is nicely insulated, the hood is not.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dan from Central New York on Sunday, December 13, 2015This is a well made jacket that is good for everyday use on chilly days and very handy for travel. If you live in a cold climate, though, it won't replace your down parka in the very bad weather.
Reviewed by JayN from Vermont on Sunday, November 29, 2015This jacket is awesome. Very well constructed and I really like the double flap to cover the zipper, which helps keep out the cold. I've been looking for a while for a really good quality winter jacket to brave the Vermont winters and found this one.
My only problem with it is that the sizes run small. I am normally a large and bought a large and it is too small. I was quite disappointed about this because there are no more XL left and I really liked this jacket. I measured my chest before purchasing and even added a little extra so I'd have room for a sweater underneath. Using the Jack Wolfskin Men's sizing chart, I should have been a medium so I figured a large would be perfect.
Hopefully Sierra Trading Post can mention this on the Jack Wolfskin products page to avoid other people having this same issue.
Now I have to return it which is a shame, but they do provide a return shipping label which will speed up the process.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Northern MI from Northern Lower on Wednesday, November 11, 2015Like others have said, these coats run small due to the European cut. The XL was tight in the shoulders and biceps...so much so that I'd only be able to wear a thin t-shirt under it. I would recommend buying the next size up.

“Does anybody know the temperature rating these jackets are good for? I usually see winters with -20 C / Around - 10 F. ”
Sorry there is not a temperature rating. Most manufacturers do not have temperature ratings for their garments or footwear due to the number of factors that affect how warm a garment may keep you.
“What color is the insulated liner that comes with the Olive shell? It only shows a red liner in the pictures.”
The liner is the same as the darker color on the outside of the jacket.
