Good for weatherproof, bad zipperReviewed by Padraig from CA on Thursday, June 14, 2018I purchased this jacket specifically for wet and windy weather coverage on a trip to Ireland. The jacket provided excellent coverage. Water beaded off the finish and no wind broke through. Good placement of pockets especially the hidden placket pocket. The outer (main) zipper frequently caught and cross threaded and was difficult to fix. Whomever designed the zipper must have been a Nimrod. If not for the zipper this would have been a 5-star rating.
Fit was appropriate, not baggy but sleeves just a little long but easy remedied by the velcro wrist cinches at the cuff.
i ordered Medium and I'm 5'8", 170 lb, 43-44 chest. Enough room to wear a medium weight fleece underneath.

Good ShellVerified Buyer Reviewed by Swamp Fox Studios from Tacoma on Friday, March 30, 2018I was a looking for a nice waterproof shell, and I liked this one. It was simple and seemed like it would work great for me. Keep in mind this jacket isn't heavy duty in the lining. I bought this one specifically with the intention of buying one of the Jack Wolfskin fleece zip-ins off of their website which adds another $80.00, but I planned for that going in. In the mean time I have warn this jacket around town and it keeps me dry and warm, when I wear a hoodie under the jacket. Its a good coat. Also I am 6' and a little on the bigger side and the large even seems a bit big for me. I don't mind, but I was surprised.
