Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Northern Cal on Thursday, September 22, 2016I am a size 11-12 in shoes and sandals, usually an 11 in sandals except sometimes (frequently really) when the brand makes sandals small! I really like jambu sandals as their sizing is generous. This sandal is a generous and therefore comfortable sandal for me. I got the black with tiny white spots pair. I love them! They are really really cute and they seem comfortable so far (i must confess I haven't worn them out yet. But I will soon!) I am thinking of buying another pair!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Arcoiris from California on Wednesday, September 7, 2016Love the look of this gladiator sandal!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Bigsky from Arizona on Thursday, August 18, 2016I got this pair in the dusty rose. All the straps give a gladiator feel and just right heel is so comfy. They're a great addition to my shoe collection!

“ONCE AGAIN, AS IS STP'S "PATTERN" YOU HAVE LISTED NON LEATHER SHOES AS LEATHER! ALL THE POLKA DOT ONES ARE FAKE LEATHER, AND THE FLORAL PRINT ONES AS I RECALL. THE OTHERS MAY BE, THOUGH I DOUBT IT. I HAVE THE POLKA DOT ONES, SO I KNOW, I BOUGHT ELSEWHERE FOR $28.00 ON SALE! WOULD PLEASE VERIFY WHICH ONES ARE NUBUCK, IF ANY?”
I am also sorry to discover that these STPJambus are not nubuck, as advertised. Someone is really profiting with these knockoffs.
I have these in polka dot, and they are leather. Before I bought them, I noticed that Jambu has the same style named "Nectar" that are not leather, and are cheaper. The Sugar style is leather. I have the floral lace Sugar, and they are leather also.
I believe all their shoes are vegan. I've had about 10 pair over last 6 years. None have worn well because they are not real leather. Yet I keep buying them for the style. Check their homepage. I've never had a pair last over 4 months.
I have a pot-a-dot pair and a plain beige pair. I'm not sure but think they are all VEGAN leather which is somehow made from plants rather than cows. I can't tell difference from looks and feel. However the shoes by Jambu are so comfortable and wear so well that I will continue to buy them which ever kind of "leather" they are. When I see the word JAMBU I know they will fit, wear well, be stylish and be comfortable walking distances. I buy a lot of shoes from STP and they seem to indicate when it is faux leather which I don't buy because it makes my feet sweat. The vegan leather from JAMBU seems to be different but it is still faux.
I own the Jambu Sugar wedge nubuck sandals in Gray floral and they are, in fact, real leather. I own the Jambu Sugar wedge in tan/brown and they are, in fact, true leather. I also own a pair of Jambu Brookline Gladiatoos and they are, in fact, true leather. I own three pair because they are the most comfortable shoes I own and they are, in fact, true leather as advertised. Perhaps you are confusing the VEGAN models with the leather ones: vegan are obviously non-animal oriented in no my way ( they are not real leather). I must also add that I am sure every corporation has it's problems both internal and outside, but I have death with Sierra trading Post prior to 2000 and I have never one time been given a bum steer.
I have ordered 4 pairs of these shoes! They are all leather, nubuck! I have black polka dot and beige! I also have 2 of the floral ones and they are all leather and they are listed as leather in the description!! They are the best shoes I have ever owned!!
i wrote the question, comment, of these shoes , the polka dot ones, not being leather, and the ones i bought from /macy's, (I do love the style), all polka dot ones aren't leather. Respecting the lady who states she bought the polka dot oes in leather, I do hope that she checked inside tag to verify, and she is correct that the floral ones are leather, as the rest may be. In fact STP has for sale the "Nectar" ones, called "vegan leather", (what a scam, joke to sell cloth, or PU for leather prices, quite the gimmick, created by Jambu I recall, to play on naive vegans). STP was just selling another pair of Jambu boots, again, as leather, for 2 years, despite numerous complaints by shoppers who
had the boots, who read the product description, (as on other sites, the box), and te tag in the shoes, proving
they were "pleather". With STP not bothering to verify this until my complaint last week, despite reviewers even
defending the boots as leather, in 2014, stating they "would never have bought the boots unless they were leather!",
as she sadly did. STP knows well of course what shoes they buy, if they're leather or not, and worse, in matter
of the majority of "closeouts" they buy, a deliberately benign sounding label, that these "closeouts" are defective
lots of shoes, not merely the mild description of "seconds" STP prints here and there, assuring customers that
they don't affect the wearability, function, of the item, which they most certainly do! Right now they are selling
a well known brand of short boots, (a large lot judging by all the sizes available), not designated as "seconds",
nor most assuredly as the unwearable "defectives" as they are. With the sole, very credible, reviewer, stating that she wears a 9 or 10, 40-41, EU, that the size 41 she bought were "HUGE", AS WERE THE NEXT SIZE DOWN SHE BOUGHT, UNWEARABLE OBVIOUSLY, RETURNING FOR THE 2 ND TIME, FOR A "36", (SIZE 6),
WHICH UNBELIEVABLY WERE ALSO TOO LARGE, WITH A SEAM SPLITTING!! AGAIN, WHEN STP BUYS THESE CLOSEOUT LOTS OF SHOES, THEY KNOW THERE IS A SEVERE ENOUGH PROBLEM FOR THE MANUFACTURER TO DUMP AN ENTIRE LOT OF SHOES, FOR A PITTANCE OF COURSE, PROBABLY $10
A PAIR, AND ARE LIKELY INFORMED BY LAW, OF WHAT THE DEFECTS ARE. JUST AS THEY ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO INFORM THEIR CUSTOMERS CORRECTLY OF THE CONDITION OF THE SHOES, ITEMS. AND MOST CERTAINLY, BY LAW, ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SELL THE ITEMS WITH A ''NORMAL"
DESCRIPTION OF THE SHOES, ITEM, AS THEY DO, OR TO USE REGULAR RETAIL, (AND VERY INFLATED),
PRICES AS COMPARISONS RE: THEIR SUPPOSED PERCENTAGE OFF RETAIL FOR THEIR SUPPOSED SALES, AS THEY ROUTINELY DO! Moreover, selling such major defects deceptively, as being leather when not,
being 3 sizes too large, or small, that are known to fall apart immediately, is not only illegal, but of course, DISRESPECTS TOTALLY THEIR CUSTOMERS, OUR VALUABLE TIME, EVEN OUR SAFETY! I'm diabetic, and cannot wear non leather, enclosed shoes, or could get a deadly infection, injury, as many are, even those with
fungus, immune deficiencies, are endangered, made worse, by non leather, non breathable, shoes. Clearly of no concern to STP! As even with the shoes 3 sizes too large, one could easily fall just from trying such gunboats on, as happened to me! Worse, when STP knows well of major defects they continue to sell these items! There was one lot of shoes clearly complained of by customers returning these for being at east a size smaller than designated, EVENTUALLY, STP was forced, as you may have seen for others, to make note of these shoes as
being too small, to size up a size! Yet a month or so later, after reporting these as "sold out", there they were again, on clearance, yet absent the too small caveat issued previously, for new victims to buy, the go thru the return hassle, or better yet for STP, AS RETAILERS KNOW, THE ITEM IS THROWN AWAY, GIVEN AWAY, AS WE READ ON THESE, OTHER SITES PAGES ALL THE TIME FROM MOST PEOPLE, AS RETAIL STUDIES SHOW, URGING RETAILERS TO EXPLOIT THIS, (IF UNETHICAL), AS A GREAT SOURCE OF REVENUE, WITH SOME 80% OF PEOPLE NOT RETURNING ITEMS ESPECIALLY IF THE COST WAS BELOW $25! Retailers, like many Chinese companies on Amazon for example, selling everything below $25.00, ARE EXPERT THIEVES IN THIS MATTER, KNOWING THEY CAN SHIP YOU AN ITEM SO SMALL, (YET DESCRIBE AS FITTING EVERYONE), IT'S CHILD SIZED, NOWHERE NEAR THE MEASUREMENTS, SIZES GIVEN, OR IS
JUST THE USUAL PIECE OF JUNK, FOR $20-25, KNOWING THAT IT WILL COST THE BUYER $10-15 TO
RETURN THE ITEM TO CHINA, FREQUENTLY DEMANDING THAT THEY RECEIVE THE RETURN BEFORE
15 DAYS!! WHILE THEIR SHIPPING TIMES ARE 4-6 WEEKS! AS THIS HAS BECOME THE PRACTICE OF
MANY U.S. COMPANIES WHO EXPLOIT THIS BY ALSO NO LONGER, OR NOT PUBLISHING CUSTOMER REVIEWS, AS EDITED AS THEY MAY BE, AND BY DELIBERATELY NOT PUBLISHING ENOUGH INFORMATION ON AN ITEM OF CLOTHING, OR SHOES, ETC., TO BASICALLY HAVE THE CUSTOMER
BUYING A PIG IN A POKE, A GAMBLE ON A DEFECTIVE, WRONG SIZED ITEM THEY HOPEFULLY, PER THE STATS, WONT RETURN!!
Over a year ago, when I stopped buying from STP, as once again I was stuck with well known brand "closeouts", that I had bought at regular sale prices, full price, many times before, that were of course, unbelievably DEFECTIVE! These were most embarrassingly for Xmas gifts too, and grossly mis-sized, with
velour lounge suits being a literal size 2 -3 x on the bottom, and reg. womens size large for the tops, sold as L, XL ! As before, from this same maker, for shoulder surgery, I ordered STP's well advertised "famous maker
closeouts", two robes, size 1 x, for the room I would need post surgery, my normal size in this brand a L reg.
or petite depending. The size 1x that i received, were GIRL'S SIZE 10!! I WAS VERY UPSET AS WAS NOW STUCK W/O ROBES FOR POST SURGERY, CALLED AND EMAILED STP INFORMING THEM OF THIS GROSS
MISSIZING, WITH OUR BEING LED TO BELIEVE, AS NOW, THESE CLOSEOUTS WERE AS HAPPENS OF COURSE, A DISCONTINUED MODEL TO BRING OUT NEW ONES. THERE WERE NO DESIGNATIONS AS THESE BEING "SECONDS", WHICH THEY WEREN'T, WERE DEFECTIVELY SIZED, NOT FUNCTIONAL FOR ANY ADULT WOMAN, WHICH STP WAS, IS OBLIGATED TO INFORM IT'S CUSTOMERS OF, COULD HAVE
CORRECTLY SOLD THEM AS GIRL'S ROBES, PER THEIR SUPPOSED IN HOUSE "FIT MODELS' I DOUBT EXIST. JUST AS STP SHOULD TRULY HAVE FOR EVERY LOT OF CLOSEOUTS THEY BUY, KNOWING, AND LIKELY INFORMED OF EXPLICITLY PRIOR TO THEIR PURCHASE OF THE DEFECTS, AND THEN SELL
THESE ITEMS AS THE ACTUAL SIZES THEY ARE, BY LAW! UPON RETURNING THESE ROBES, INCLUDING WITH THEM A NOTE FOR THE RECEIVING DEPARTMENT, WITH MY RECEIPT, ETC. THAT THESE WERE MIS-LABELED, NOT A WOMAN,S 1X, BUT A GIRL'S SIZE 10! ONLY TO BE SHOCKED POST MAJOR SURGERY, BROWSING STP ONE ARMED, TO SEE THESE SAME "GIRL'S" SIZED ROBES, THE TWO I HAD RETURNED, BEING SOLD AGAIN BY STP, AS THE SAME WOMEN'S SIZE 1 X!!! OVER WHICH,
THINKING THIS WAS A FLUKE, I CALLED AND INFORMED THEM FOR THE 4TH TIME! AND THEY REMAINED! THE MAJOR ORDER OF DEFECTS, I WROTE OF EARLIER, SHOES A SIZE TOO SMALL, OF A BRAND I HAVE, TOO MUCH TO LIST, INCLUDING GOOD ITEMS, THAT WOULD COST MUCH TO RETURN, NEVERTHELESS I INTENDED TO, AND SUCCUMBED TO THE INSTANT RETURN CREDIT SYSTEM, PAYING FOR RETURNS, THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A CLUE TO ME, OF THE VAST NUMBER OF RETURNS STPS HAS. UNFORTUNATELY, I HAD TO HAVE EMERGENCY SURGERY FROM COMPLICATIONS AND WAS UNABLE TO RETURN THE ENTIRE MESS, EATING THE COST! A LESSON TO US ALL HERE.
SO, STP HAS A LONG STANDING PATTERN OF THESE DELIBERATELY MIS MARKED, DESCRIBED, ITEMS
I COULD REALLY GO ON FOREVER WITH EXAMPLES, EVEN HERE NOW. AND WILL TRY TO ADD THE NAMES OF THE BOOTS I MENTIONED HERE 3 SIZES TOO LARGE, THAT FALL APART. I'M SURE THAT STP'S EXCUSE IS THAT THEY DIDN'T KNOW OF THESE PROBLEMS, WHICH IS A LIE. THIS SEEMS THEIR POLICY, AND CLEAR PATTERN OF ILLEGALLY SELLING DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE, THAT MUST BE LABELED INDIVIDUALLY A SUCH, TO INCLUDE THE CORRECT PRODUCT CONTENT, BY LAW, AND THE NATURE OF MAJOR DEFECTS NOT COVERED BY THEIR BENIGN, PHONEY, AND SPARSE DESCRIPTION OF SECONDS OVERALL, TO LEAVE IT UP TO A CUSTOMER RECEIVING A DEFECTIVE ITEM TO SUPPOSEDLY INFORM THEM OF WHAT THEY ALL READY KNOW, WHICH MAKES NO DIFFERENCE ANYWAY, DOESN'T RESULT IN THEM CORRECTLY LABELING, TRUTH IN LABELING AS IS LAW. NO GENERIC DESCRIPTION OF SECONDS, OR CLOSEOUTS, IN THE MOST BENIGN TERMS, COVERS ALL
THE DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE SOLD BY STP, SUPPOSEDLY CO-MINGLING ACTUAL END OF PRODUCTION CLOSEOUTS, ALONG WITH CLOSEOUTS DUE TO DEFECTS, SECONDS. NOR DOES ANY CAVEAT ISSUED BY STP, OR ANY EXCUSE, COVER MIS LABELING PLEATHER AS LEATHER, ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS, IE: NOT ENOUGH PERSONNEL. IT IS THEIR LEGAL OBLIGATION TO INDEED HAVE THEIR SUPPOSED, "FIT MODELS", AND THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT, VERIFY PRODUCT SIZING, CONTENT, BEFORE EVER INFLICTING THIS JUNK ON THE PUBLIC! I DO HOPE THAT STP PUBLISHES THIS, AND KUDOS TO THEM IF SO. IT CAN ONLY BE A NIGHTMARE TO THEIR ALWAYS NICE, CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT, IS A NIGHTMARE DESTROYING THE REPUTATION OF TJ MAXX UNTIL
THIS COMPANY ACTS WITHIN THE LAW AND SHOULD BE REPORTED FOR EACH VIOLATION OF THE LAW.
WELL, I MUST APOLOGIZE TO STP, AND OTHERS HERE, FOR SAYING INCORRECTLY, THAT THESE SHOES DIDN'T COME IN LEATHER. I CHECKED WITH JAMBU, AND SEVERAL OTHER SITES, AND THEY DO INDEED!
OR I SHOULD SAY, DID INDEED, AS THESE SURELY MUST BE! AGAIN, MY APOLOGIES.
I am an avid Jambu shoe purchaser...have owned numerous pairs over the years and have never been disappointed in quality or style. Wish i could count all the compliments received during this time. I own three pairs of the Sugar style, polka dots, grey floral, and beige, and all are high quality leather. Could not be happier with these shoes because it is not often you can get shoes reasonably priced, maximum comfort, high quality, and unique attractive style.
WELL, THIS IS MY 4TH APOLOGY ON THIS SITE, FOR BEING A FOOL, NOT VERIFYING IF THESE SHOES
ARE LEATHER OR NOT WITH JAMBU FIRST, WHICH THEY KINDLY DID, AS I ALSO VERIFIED ON TWO OTHER WEBSITES, THAT THESE, "ALL" THE "SUGAR" SANDALS ARE INDEED LEATHER, ALL THE NECTAR
ONES ARE NOT. MY FOOLISHNESS, AS A HUGE FAN OF JAMBU, STEMS FROM AGAIN, DESPITE SEEING 2 YEARS OF Q & A, ON A PAIR OF "ESMERELDA", JAMBU BOOTS, WITH AS HERE, JAMBU FANS CONTRADICTING STP'S CLAIMS, FOR 2 YEARS NO LESS, THAT THESE BOOTS WERE LEATHER! THIS DESPITE THE MAJORITY OF REVIEWERS, JAMBU FANS, WRITING IN TO Q & A, STATING, AS EMPHATICALLY AS THOSE CORRECTING ME HERE, THAT THE BOOTS THEY HAVE, ARE VEGAN, AS THE BOX, THE TAG INSIDE SAID, WITH ONE VERY ADAMANT WOMAN, ARGUING THAT THEY WERE INDEED LEATHER, "THAT, (LIKE ME), SHE 'WOULD NEVER HAVE BOUGHT THEM IF THEY WEREN'T"! SHE WAS THE ONLY DEFENDER OF THE BOOTS BEING LEATHER. WITH ALL THE LETTERS INTO Q & A, STATING THE FACTS, THAT THEY WEREN'T LEATHER, 2 YEARS OF THIS, STP NEVER CORRECTED IT UNTIL I WROTE
IN MY USUAL ALL CAPS, (WHICH IS NOT MY BEING IRATE, DUE TO BEING SEVERELY HANDICAPPED FROM CHEST, SHOULDER, NECK, INJURIES, IT'S THE ONLY WAY I CAN WRITE, TYPE, CAN'T CHANGE CASE, ONE FINGERED, AGONIZING TYPING, SORRY). AS I CRITICIZED THIS STP POLICY OF FAR TOO
MANY MIS-LABELING, OF DEFECTIVE ITEMS, LOTS, AS "CLOSEOUTS". PER THEIR DEFINITION HERE, AND THE DEFINITION IS CORRECT, THOUGH THE USE OF THIS TERM, THE MAIN TERM THROUGHOUT STP,
IS GROSSLY ABUSED FR TOO OFTEN BY STP TO DESCRIBE "LOTS" OF ITEMS, AS CLOSEOUTS, WHICH INDEED ARE, AS THEY DESCRIBE THEM, AS END OF SEASON MERCHANDISE, OR THAT BEING DISCONTINUED TO BRING IN NEWER STYLES, WHICH THUS FAR, NO REVIEWS YET I THINK, APPLES TO THESE JAMBU'S. THOUGH " CLOSEOUT", CERTAINLY DOESN'T APPLY AS STP HAS, TO THE NEW, LARGE LOT OF THE ALSO WELL KNOWN, LOVED, "SANTINA", BRAND OF GREAT LEATHER SHOES, CLOGS THAT SO FAR, PER THE VERY PATIENT, GENEROUS REVIEWER, WHO WEARS A EI 41 9-10, AND HAD TO RETURN TWICE, AS THEY ARE " HUGE"! SHE'S A LONG TIME BUYER OF THIS BRAND, KNOWS THE SIZING WELL. WORSE, SHE FINALLY ORDERED A SIZE 37, US SIZE 6 ! AND THEY ARE ALSO TOO BIG!! AND THE SEAM IS SPLITTING FROM BARELY WEARING, HAPPENED RIGHT AWAY!! THESE LEGALLY, ARE NOT "CLOSEOUTS", NOR ARE THEY EVEN "SECONDS", AS STP DEFINES, AND IS CORRECT, THEY HAVE "MINOR FLAWS, THAT DON'T AFFECT THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE ITEM", HA!
IF WHAT THIS WOMAN SAYS IS TRUE, SHE SEEMS VERY CREDIBLE, EVEN KIND, ABOUT APPARENTLY
HAVING YET ANOTHER STP DEFECT TO THROW IN THE TRASH! THOUGH IT SEEMS THAT STP, IF ETHICAL, OWES HER A REFUND, AND MUST HAVE THE SUPPOSED "FIT MODEL", FOR EVERY SIZE, TRY
THESE ON IMMEDIATELY, (AS THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWING AT THE LEAST THAT THESE WERE SOLD TO THEM AS IMPERFECT, IF NOT TOTALLY DEFECTIVE! STP'S CLAIMING IGNORANCE OF THIS MAJOR
DEFECT, IS LAUGHABLE! AS THEY WERE SURELY INFORMED OF THESE BEING DEFECTIVE PRIOR TO PURCHASING THEM, ALSO FOR PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR! IN FACT A REPUTABLE COMPANY WOULD HAVE TAKEN THESE OFF THE SITE PER THIS ONE VERY EDUCATED WOMAN ABOUT THIS BRAND,
UNBELIEVABLY GOOD NATURED, GENEROUS TO STP, UNTIL THEY HAVE FT MODELS, (EMPLOYEES),
DO WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE BEFORE EVER PUTTING THEM ON THE SITE, TO SPECIFICALLY DETERMINE JUST WHAT THE IMPERFECTIONS ARE?? THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH VERY MANY SO CALLED "CLOSEOUTS", WHERE ONLY AFTER DOZENS BUY THE KNOWN DEFECTIVE SHOES, OUR TIME,
EFFORTS, THE TOTAL HASSLE OF RETURNING THINGS, (ERGO 80% BELOW A CERTAIN PRICE, $25 AS REPORTED BY RETAIL JOURNALS, IS THE USUAL CUT OFF, BUT PEOPLE ARE BUSY, CAN'T TAKE OFF WORK TO MAIL, AND ARE ANGRY RIGHTFULLY, SO IT GOES TO THE TRASH, OR GOODWILL, AS WE READ IN REVIEWS ALL THE TIME, REGARDLESS OF THE COST!). AS I'VE HAD TO EAT HUNDREDS IN DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS FROM STP, HAVEN'T BOUGHT FROM THEM FOR WELL OVER A YEAR. AND STP'S
PATTERN OF THIS, NOT IDENTIFYING ACTUAL SECONDS AS IS THE LAW, PER ITEM, CALLING DEFECTIVE STUFF, "CLOSEOUTS", ONLY RARELY SAYING, AFTER DOZENS, MAYBE HUNDREDS OF PAIRS OF SHOES,
OTHER THINGS WAY TOO SMALL, OR BIG, AS STP KNOWS, IS THEIR FIDUCIARY DUTY TO KNOW, THEN INFORM THEIR CUSTOMERS, THEY MAY IDENTIFY ONLY AFTER DOZENS OF RETURNS, COMPLAINTS, THAT INDEED A SHOE RUNS A SIZE TOO BIG OR SMALL! THEN NEGLECT TO MENTION THIS AFTER SAYING THEIR ALL SOLD OUT OF THE PROBLEM SHOE, ITEM, WHEN MIRACULOUSLY THEY REAPPEAR FOR CLEARANCE??
SO, I SAID MUCH OF THIS PREVIOUSLY, SORRY, BUT IT SURELY MITIGATES AT LEAST MY JUMPING THE GUN, RIGHT AFTER ANGRILY WRITING TO STP, IN Q & A, AFTER TWO YEARS OF PEOPLE SAYING THE LEATHER" BOOTS THEY WERE ADVERTISING, WEREN'T LEATHER! I PITY THE ALWAYS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS, AND THE POOR GUY WHO FINALLY WROTE AN APOLOGY TO CUSTOMERS IN Q & A, OVER THE BOOTS, 2 YEARS LATE! AND ARE THEY NOTIFYING THE WOMAN DEFENDING THEM AS LEATHER, WHO SAID SHE WOULD NEVER HAVE BOUGHT NON LEATHER BOOTS? NO WAY!
STP FEIGNING IGNORANCE IS NO EXCUSE, NOR IS BLAMING WORKERS, GROSSLY UNDERSTAFFED, FOR ALL THE "CLOSEOUT", VERIFICATIONS THAT NEED TO BE DONE. THIS HAS BEEN COMPANY POLICY, AND LET'S HOPE THERE WILL BE MAJOR CHANGES, RUINING TJMAXX CREDIBILITY TOTALLY. DESPITE MY FAUX PAS, BORN OF NO CREDIBILITY, FAR TOO MUCH EXPERIENCE WITH THIS, NOT OUR JOB!.
