Gorgeous sweater, quality wool and construction, and I love the denim blue. I wear Women's size 8 or 10, and this Men's Medium fits fine. Perfect with jeans for casual comfort. The ribbing on the upper arms is an interesting detail.

I'm a big fan of Peregrine products by J.G. Glover, but as many reviews will tell you the sizing can be tricky. Typically, Peregrine sweaters come in U.K. sizes so I always order a size up. This is a process that has generally served me well, although there is definitely a noticeable size difference between my two favorite sweaters despite the fact that they are supposedly both XXL. This time around, I ordered a size up per my usual routine (I've ordered 4 sweaters from the company) and received a sweater that I could have used as a tent, with enough room for camping gear inside.

This sweater, like most Peregrine sweaters, is gorgeous and well made. However, I really wish they would establish a consistent sizing protocol and stick to it.

  • “Hi,

I'm interested in possibly purchasing one of these sweaters, but upon reading the review posted in regards to the sizing, I now am unsure which size to order. I normally wear a size medium US (which translates to more of a large in European sizing). Would it still be advisable to go with a size L for this sweater?

    Regards,

    Derrick ”
