This skirt is the perfect addition for a versatile wardrobe. I fully enjoy owning items that offer the ability to meet multiple needs. This skirt seems like it will last. The cotton is thick. The only thing I don't like is that that top ruffle is right at the largest part of my bum.

I work from home but wear skirts and dresses unless I'm in the garden--and sometimes even then, so this kind of skirt suits me down to the ground! I don't know yet how it will wash, but it's very soft and long enough so I can pull weeds without worrying about whether the neighbor's evil little boy and his camera phone are in the yard next door! I would never pay the full price as listed for a cotton skirt, but for a bit under $30, it was a good--not perfect--deal.

Question & Answer

    • We still have the size 12 available in some colors. We would recommend sizing up to a size 16 if the 12-14 is out in the color you are looking for.

    • I would go down, unless you want to alter it as I did when I went up. The original fit is loose and comfortable, and long. A 10 should work for you. Gma

    • Definitely size down..I am 5'5, 140lbs and take a size 0 in this skirt, normally a size 8 and I do not like tight fitting clothes. I was lucky I purchased two in the store so knew my size when ordering online.

    • I'd go down. I'm much taller and larger than you are (5'8'/190), and the 16 is a bit big on me.

    • The size 2(12-14)the elastic waist measured 30"-44" and the hips were 52". On a size 2x(22) the elastic waist measured 38"-52" and the hips were 56".

  • “the black skirt lists sizes as 2X(4-6), 3X(4-6), etc. Can you clarify the sizing?”
Asked by Anonymous from Unknown on 12/19/2009 12:00:00 AM
    • I ordered a 3X as I usually wear a womans size 18 but it was way too big. I'm trying to get a 1X or 2X now. I am 5ft 3 in and it is a very long skirt- maxi- to the ground on me but with heels or rolling the waist up it should be OK. Nice fabric- not sheer, good drape.
